If you're trying to keep your brand new, next-generation boot under wraps ahead of a big launch don't give a pair to Lukas Podolski. The Inter Milan striker grabbed the club snapper to show off his new colourway and all but reveal the latest addition to the adizero family in training this afternoon.

After ten years with adidas and the F50 maybe Podolski has earned the right unveil a boot that has played a such a pivotal role in his career, either way the German international made no secret of his new wheels by pointing them out to the media on his way to Inter training today.

The on-loan Arsenal man provides the closest look yet at the sixth generation of the adizero series and a first look at the leather version of the boot. Once again adidas understand the demand for a leather upper to offer a more traditional ball feel but the graphics are anything but traditional with the sides of the boot hosting a dominant scale-like pattern and the Three Stripes branding reserved for just the tongue and heel of the boots.

Some description

Podolski has customised the Solar Red launch colourway of the boot with his new squad number 11 and the cross of St. Ambrose, one of Milan’s patron saints, and a symbol that has featured on the Inter Milan club kits of seasons past. With the official launch date for the next-generation F50 rapidly approaching adidas have already begun to dish out the update to their pool of athletes including Gareth Bale.

Stay tuned for a full look at the new F50 adizero when adidas officially lift the lid in the coming weeks. For now though, let us know what you think, drop your comments below.
