This weekend is Valentine’s Day, and tapping into the city’s position as the setting for one of the most famous love stories of all time, Hellas Verona have released a special edition fourth kit, produced by hummel.
Verona’s identity is inseparable from the tale of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, and this latest Hellas Verona kit from Joma embraces that heritage in bold fashion. The shirt arrives in an elegant black base, elevated by gold lettering and detailing that lend it a refined, almost ceremonial feel befitting the occasion. The most distinctive element of the design emerges from the hem. Rising subtly from the base of the shirt is a graphic inspired by the handwritten notes left at the entrance to Juliet’s House. For decades, visitors from around the world have covered the walls with spontaneous declarations of love – intimate messages, promises, and confessions addressed to Juliet.
Those layered, overlapping love notes have been reinterpreted into a bespoke pattern that gives the shirt a deeply personal texture. It’s a thoughtful nod to the rituals of romance that define the city, blending football culture with a broader emotional narrative.
The special edition kit will make its on-pitch debut with the club’s women’s side on Valentine’s Day itself. They face Venezia in Serie B Femminile on Saturday at the Talericio stadium in Mestre.
The following day, the men’s first team will don the kit in their Serie A fixture against Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
