The Spotify x FC Barcelona jersey takeover returns for its sixth iteration – and this time, it’s a full-blown Cactus Jack collision course. As El Clásico looms on May 11, Barça’s iconic blaugrana will be reimagined through the lens of Travis Scott, with the legendary Cactus Jack logo taking pride of place on the chest.
This latest drop follows a stacked lineup of previous collaborators – Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, KAROL G, Coldplay – but Travis doesn’t just join the ranks, he shifts the narrative. More than a takeover, this is a co-creation. A deeper dive into a shared cultural universe, where the energy of Scott’s world hits Camp Nou and echoes beyond.
Once again, Spotify dials up the vision, stepping aside to let artistry lead. But this time the jersey is just the beginning. As part of the takeover, Travis Scott will perform live in Barcelona for the very first time. The invite-only show lands on 10 May, the eve of El Clásico, hosted at a landmark location in the heart of the city – reimagined and reengineered to capture the full frequency of fan energy, culture, and club DNA.
Reserved for Scott's most loyal local listeners, the experience will blur the lines between concert and celebration, complete with fan-led moments and immersive activations. It's a one-night-only tribute to the passion of Barça fans and the unmistakable creative chaos of Cactus Jack.
Marc Hazan, Vice President, Partnerships and Marketing, Spotify said: "What we're doing here is giving artists a stage unlike any other. This collaboration with Travis Scott, alongside FC Barcelona, is our most ambitious project to date. A global icon co-curating with us for the world’s biggest game and performing live for fans in Barcelona - that’s the power we’re unlocking. It's a real expression of what drives Spotify and FC Barcelona."
“El Clásico is a moment the whole world taps into. Teaming up with Spotify and FC Barcelona lets me merge my universe with theirs. This wasn’t just about throwing Cactus Jack on a jersey. It’s about building something that blurs the line between sound and sport. Being the first artist to perform in Barcelona as part of this collaboration and sharing that moment with my fans just takes it to another level.” – Travis Scott.
To mark the moment, Spotify, Barça and Travis have also teamed up on a limited-edition capsule collection, channeling Scott’s signature aesthetic with football-first edge. Dropping 9 May via TravisScott.com, the range features two hoodies, a tee, retro jersey, shorts, jacket, scarf, cap – and even a Cactus Jack-branded football.
Speaking about the crossover, Jules Kounde said: “As a long-time Travis listner and someone who cares about style, this collaboration with Spotify is powerful. Seeing the Cactus Jack logo on our jersey and being part of a drop that blends football with fashion and music is something that I’m hugely inspired by and I’m proud to be part of a club that embraces that.”
Just 1899 jerseys will be available – a nod to the club’s founding year – available from 2 May at Barça Official Stores in Spain and online. The kit will be worn by the men’s team against Real Madrid on 11 May, and by Barça Femení in their final Liga F fixture on 18 May.
Joan Laporta, President of FC Barcelona said: "The logo swap for El Clásico is the clearest example of how the alliance between Spotify and FC Barcelona is capable of generating conversations that go beyond the world of sports. It reflects the Club’s desire to interact with our fans in a novel way and brings us closer to new audiences around the world, allowing us to share who we are and what we stand for. In this Clásico, which could be decisive for the season, we welcome a global figure like Travis Scott to the family of artists who have had their names featured on our jersey in one of the most important sporting events on the planet."
With over 67 million monthly listeners and five tracks in the Spotify Billions Club, Travis Scott ranks among the most streamed artists on the planet. To soundtrack the hype, he’s curated a special edition of the Barça Matchday playlist, built to fuel the fire for players and fans alike.
One badge. Two powerhouses. A cultural collision course that redefines what a football jersey can be.
