Macron Provide Vélez Sarsfield With New Home & Away Shirts For Upcoming Season

With the new season of the Argentine Primera División fast approaching, reigning champions Vélez Sarsfield will be looking to defend their title in a crisp new home and away kit provided by Macron.

After recently ending their kit deal with Diodora, Vélez Sarsfield (also known as 'El Fortín') arrive into the new season with a new look from their latest kit providers – Macron. Back in December 2024, Vélez Sarsfield won their first trophy since 2013 by beating Huracán 2-0 to be crowned champions of Argentina’s Primera División. The side wrote themselves into the great history of success the club has since being founded in 1910. Therefore, it's only right that Macron craft the Argentine side a kit fit for champions to aid them in defending their Primera División title.

Macron have supplied 'El Fortín' with a kit loyal to the traditions of Liniers, the suburb of Buenos Aires in which the club is local to, as well as continuing to celebrate the strong ties between the club and Italy – the birthplace of its founders.

The home shirt drops in a majority white template, featuring the established inverted shield, so often seen on El Fortín shirts, in royal blue across the chest. Embroidered on either side of the large ‘V’ is both the classic Macron Hero, as well as the coat of arms of Vélez Sarsfield.  Some finer details designed into the shirt include a small, printed tower which illustrate one of the two towers that represent the entrance to ‘El Fortín’ – the first stadium in Vélez’s history located in Villa Luro.

Dedicated to keep celebrating the bonds between the club and Italy, the two-button collar sees red and green piping outlines to mirror the colours that recall the Italian flag. The back of the collar is personalised with both the Macron and Vélez logo, aswell as the words ‘Designed In Bologna’ – a nod to the design and development of apparel at the Macron Campus in Italy. Also featured are the years 1910 and 2025 printed in blue, alongside the unique coat of arms with the number 115 in the middle to celebrate the clubs special anniversary. Finishing off this memorable shirt, the inscription ‘El primero en ser un gran club’ (the first one to be a great club) can be spotted at the bottom of the shirt, contributing to the cultural essence of the kit.

The away kit follows the same layout of the home, however with the traditional white and blue colours reversed. Royal blue is the dominant colour while the finer details are fashioned in white. Both shirts are made from eco fabric, as like all Macron shirts, which ensures a lightweight and breathable shirt whilst also playing their part in eco-friendly production.

The new Macron Vélez Sarsfield kit will be worn for the first time tomorrow, in the club's first game of the season vs Tigre.
