Goalkeepers > Sells Wrap Elite Aqua Goalkeeper Gloves

New for the 2011/12 season, Sells have unveiled their Wrap Elite Aqua goalkeeper gloves which are expected to revolutionise goalkeeper performance. As demonstrated in an exclusive video, the latex offers unbelievable grip properties in the wettest of conditions.

Enlisting the services of top young goalkeeper Asmir Begovic (who recently chatted with SoccerBible), our friends at Sells and Pro Direct Soccer demonstrated the performance properties of their new latex using a variety of different league and international footballs, to show how the ground-breaking latex grips even a soaking wet ball!

The Wrap Elite Aqua goalkeeper gloves are a popular choice amongst the pro's and through the 11/12 season we can expect to see Wayne Hennessey, Ben Foster, Heurelho Gomes and Rob Green sporting the new Sells goalkeeper gloves.

Featuring Adhesion Ultra Latex, an esoteric material developed exclusively for Sells Goalkeeper Products. The 3mm AU formula is laminated with a 4mm Memory Foam which provides unrivalled grip and shock absorption.

With minimalistic styling, Sells are once again demonstrating how their focus is driven by performance, as unlike some of the major brands their gloves aren't bound by a boot range. The benefit of which is that latex in it's purest natural form is white, by maintaining this form they are enhancing performance because by colouring the latex gripping characteristics are lost.

Extensively tested by keepers at all levels, the new Sells Wrap Elite series features an improved fit and a classic cut. The expansive roll finger cut ensures maximum latex to ball contact, together with a surround cut thumb, providing additional security when handling a slippery ball.

The backhand features an Aquastem water repellent lining with an overlap of 3mm embossed latex, whilst flex zones and channels allow unrestricted movement and finger flexibility. The backhand also features a little splash of colour which allows you to distinguish the particular glove within the Wrap Elite range.

Sells new pull loop fastening ensures the gloves are easy to put on and remove without causing stress to the stitched finger seams and cuffs. The 7 cm wrist bandage with a latex strap provides a secure adjustable fit while the fastening reduces glove twist.

New for the 2011/12 season, the Sells Wrap Elite Aqua goalkeeper gloves are available to pre-order now, ahead of being despatched on 1st August for around £65 GBP / $100 USD / €78 EURO. It's often quite easy to overlook the goalkeeping position, but with all the technology that goes into developing products for scoring goals, it's refreshing to see ground-breaking technology for keeping the ball out of the net!

Now you've had a look at the new Sells Wrap Elite Aqua goalkeeper gloves, let us know what you think! Share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

FYI: Green's fail in SA was not a glove issue. Poor positioning on a low ball that skipped in front of him. These gloves are fantastic , but do not make up for lack of concentration, bad footwork, or lousy positioning.

Im not a big fan of the classic cut that Sells use on a majority of their gloves, other than that, they're some of the best gloves ive used in my life. Taking second place to Reusch Raptors.
