"If Nike were a country, it would be Brazil." That's what we're hearing a lot here in Rio de Janeiro, and it's easy too see why. This is Nike territory, even if their Samba superstar is leaving leaving for the Camp Nou. Neymar, or "the President" as he's known in these streets, is the reason we've travelled half way across the world.

Nike and Neymar are preparing to launch the HyperVenom and if it's anything like they're building it up to be, it's going to be quite special. We've all seen the boots - they haven't been football's best kept secret - but this is where the party really gets started. Before we get to that, we've put together a short video to give you a taste of what's to come.

We aren't the only ones out here. This is a global gathering of the world's media to witness the official launch of the Nike HyperVenom - the things we do for a football boot! But this isn't just any Nike boot. The HyperVenom is the start of a new Nike story, one that will be spearheaded by a hero of a new generation. Much like the HyperVenom, Neymar's story is only just beginning.

So after our first day of sightseeing and getting a taste of Brazilian futsal, it's over to the main event. Today we'll have a front row seat at the global launch of the Nike HyperVenom as we chat to designers and hear from the star man himself. Neymar is in town and things are about to get juicy.
