Custom boots, unreleased colourways and of course, the odd GS2 – check out what boots have made it into this weeks instalment of SoccerBible boot-spotting. Our weekly instalment of boot-spotting brings you the best new, old and unique football boots on show and this week is no different!


Mario Gomez (Bayern Munich) PUMA evoSPEED
Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez put his new PUMA evoSPEED boots into action for the second time as his side took on FC Augsburg. Gomez had previously worn the unreleased evoSPEED colourway for Bayern's mid-week Champions League tie with FC Bate Borisov. Gomez scored Bayern's second goal in their 2-0 defeat of Bavarian rivals Augsburg on Saturday. His PUMA boots are due for release in January 2013.


Christian Terlizzi (Pescara) Nike iD CTR360 Trequartista III
Pescara defender Christian Terlizzi got it spot on with his custom CTR boots - a great colourway that's a perfect match for Pescara's home and away colours. Last years Serie B champions were in action against struggling Genoa, with Terlizzi's CTR360s being the stand-out boots of the match. The match ended 2-0 in favour of Pescara – a team we'll be keeping a keen eye on thanks to Terlizzi's blue beauties!


Yaya Toure (Manchester City) PUMA King
The new PUMA King was out in force for the Manchester Derby. Yaya Toure, Phil Jones and Michael Carrick each gave the boot a derby match to remember as United claimed a late victory over their fierce rivals. Yellow boots seem to have set a trend for launch colourways – the King was certainly one of the most noticeable boots at the Etihad Stadium. For Toure, the standard editions that took preference over the SL model.


Rafinha (Ulsan Hyundai) Nike GS2
Rafinha – a Brazilian striker who players for K-League side Ulsan Hyundai – was spotted wearing the Nike GS2 during the FIFA Club World Cup Quarter Final match between Ulsan Hyundai and Mexican side CF Monterrey. Whereas the original GS was a strictly limited release, Nike have produced higher numbers of the GS2 worldwide - expect to see more and more professional players getting their hands on a pair!


Travis Dodd (Perth Glory) Nike T90 Laser IV
More and more Australian players are acquiring the the silky design skills of Aboriginal artist Daren Dunn. There was a double helping of his custom boots on show during the Perth Glory vs Melbourne Hearts match. Both Travis Dodd (above) - wearing the Nike T90 Laser IV - and David Williams - wearing the Nike Vapor VIII – livened up their boots with some custom artwork. Daren Dunn recently designed a pair exclusively for SoccerBible – you can check them out here.


Ben Davies (Derby County) Nike iD Mercurial Vapor VIII
It's hard to go wrong with a white Vapor. Derby midfielder Ben Davies gave us a glimpse of his custom Nike iD Vapor VIII football boots as his side took on Leeds United. Davies, only on the pitch for the final 10 minutes of the match, put his boots in the spotlight with a fine strike deep into added time as Derby claimed a 3-1 victory. Custom boots have had a big year, with Nike and adidas both pushing their services.


Jonjo Shelvey (Liverpool) adidas Predator LZ
Jonjo has switched between adidas and Nike this season, and although it appeared he may be going under the radar this weekend with a black-out boot, he is still in fact very much an adidas wearer. Shelvey was sporting the recent all-black release, which has just a subtle green logo, as he played the false number '9' role for Liverpool.


Kyle Walker (Tottenham) Umbro GT Pro II
Despite being snapped this week wearing Nike Vapor in training, Walker was back in this new colour of the Umbro GT for competitive Premier League action. But with fellow wearer Connor Wickham changing into Nike, it's surely only a matter of time until Walker makes the full switch into the Swoosh?


Hisato Sato (Sanfrecce Hiroshima) Hummel
A bit of an unknown boot here, and so we'll put this out to the SoccerBible fans. We're aware this a Hummel boot, although it doesn't appear to belong to either their 'Old School' or 'Rapid' ranges. Curiously, the sole-plate is reminiscent of the hard ground adiPower plate, but perhaps this is a Japan exclusive boot, as we've previously seen with adidas, Umbro, Nike and Mizuno.

Nike Announce Sale Of Umbro For $225 Million
