The most iconic name in football met with the artist responsible for creating one of the most eye-catching boots in football. Brazilian legend and brand ambassador Pelé, met with SheOne in Munich this week to give his seal of approval to Pelé Sports latest football boots.
Being a relatively new brand but with the most legendary name in football, Pelé Sports are thinking outside of the box when it comes to boot design. Well to be more accurate, they're thinking next to the box by creating a performance football boot, but adorning it with a radical piece of art.
You wonder if the SheOne is a design Pelé himself would have worn? But on September 16th he showed he was more than happy with the work of the famous graffiti artist when the two met in Munich. Pelé was appearing as a guest of Pelé Sports on the evening Sky 90 Sports show, with Franz Beckenbauer and Günter Netzer.
Pelé and Beckenbauer have known each other since the sixties, and later played together at the New York Cosmos and today both are members of the FIFA task force committee which deals with the future of football. Before the show commenced Pelé was introduced to James Choules, aka SheOne and they both signed boots as a gift to Sky and the football charity
unitedcharity.
On transferring his style onto the canvas of a football boot, SheOne commented: "I jumped at the chance, it was a really exciting project to approach, firstly to work with such an iconic name in football and secondly to see my work in a completely new arena."
