Football News > Limited Edition Nike GS Presentation Case

There are few things that we love more than the over indulgence that comes with a Nike presentation case! Reserved for the hottest boots on the planet, it comes as no surprise to see Nike repackage the Green Speed in a hard-hitting box.

As always, Nike ensured that the case made its traditional stop-off at SoccerBible HQ for us to share and take a look! The boots may have sold out in a matter of minutes, but that's no reason to not take another look at one of the biggest boot releases of 2012.

At 160 grams of recycled and renewable engineering, Nike GS is built for high-speed control, designed around the natural movement of the foot for a super natural fit. A Revolution in the boot world, Nike have once again pushed back the boundaries of boot design and construction

Nike have stripped back to the essential elements of a performance boot, as the GS delivers a deadly combination of lightweight innovation and recycled materials. Conceived and engineered in Italy, the Nike GS will be worn by Brazil striker Neymar at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The Nike Green Speed football boots are made from at least 77% castor beans, which require less water to grow than other natural materials. The Nike GS tongue and quarter are made of form fitting recycled polyester, made from 95% recycled plastic bottles.

The solvent-free Kanga-lite synthetic upper provides zonal reinforcement for exceptional touch and control. The material is also better for the planet, manufactured with 35% less carbon emissions compared to traditional materials.

The vamp has been designed to deliver a supernatural fit, by discovering a way to mimic the feel and responsiveness of Kangaroo leather while improving resistance to heat and cold and better recovery after stretch.

The Pebax Renu heel counter is molded in an anatomical, asymmetric shape to lock the foot down for better response and control. The outsole is constructed with an eco-TPU derived from castor beans - a material 15% lighter than traditional TPU.

For those of you who were quick enough to pre-order a pair, you'll be one of only 2012 people to own the super limited Nike GS. As for this presentation case, only a handful were made and distributed worldwide. Luckily one made its way to SB HQ!

I though it had some dried bacon in there. Nonethless, this only adds the cost of the shoes... which will get ripped up and will now be throwed away. I'd like to try the boots.

is it just me or does the left boot seem to be pretty wrinkled in 2 of the pictures? i'd be a bit disappointed if i opened the box and they came out like that. if i'm spending $300 on a pair of boots they better be quality.

Looks totally not durable.

It's something for collection and not for playing in, really.

And to the people asking if it's sold, or where to buy it - it was released for pre-order last week and 2012 pairs have been sold out within 24 hours.

I may have missed something here, but surely the point of these GS stories is to convince me to buy them. Yet they supposedly sold out in 24 hours, with no more available anywhere. Makes this seem a bit redundant to me. Why keep promoting something near enough no one can no longer get? Or is THAT the point?!
