Adidas have unveiled the gold, silver and bronze Top Scorer trophies for Euro 2012, and with just three games remaining who will be taking home the Golden adidas Predator LZ football boot? It looks like a shoot-out between Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Gomez, with both players currently on three goals, but let us know who you think will be tournament top goalscorer...
The adidas Golden Boot Award is the most prestigious individual honour to be won at Euro 2012, as Europe's top marksmen have gathered to show how lethal they are in front of goal. After their domestic campaigns, it doesn't come as a surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Gomez are leading the way, but there's still a chance the Golden Boot could be claimed by another Euro 2012 star.
The winner of the UEFA Euro 2012 adidas Golden Boot will become part of a notable list of footballers, as the honours' board makes for impressive reading with Marco van Basten, Michel Platini and Gerd Müller among the illustrious names to leave contemporaries in the shade in UEFA European Championships past.
Of course, with adidas handing out three trophies the likelihood there will be three clear goalscorers are quite slim, so there are set criteria if players finish level on goals. To determine who wins the adidas Golden/Silver/Bronze shoe, the highest number of assists will be counted, then the fewest minutes played will be counted.
The trophies are casts of adidas Predator Lethal Zones football boots, a modern update on the Predator Precision used for the Golden Boot Trophy awarded to Europe's top goalscorer in domestic football, currently held by Lionel Messi and previously Cristiano Ronaldo.
