Football News > Pantofola d'Oro Talks to SoccerBible

If you're a regular to SoccerBible, you're probably aware we're big fans of the work of Italian brand Pantofola d'Oro. So when the brand's executive Kim Williams recently visited the UK, we were privileged to find that SoccerBible headquarters was one of his destinations for an exclusive interview...

Don't get us wrong, in the modern era we love all the innovative tech, the lighweight materials and the ever changing face of boot development. But at the same time, a classic Ferrari is still a classic Ferrari and drives on the road just as any other car, which is how we think of Pantofola d'Oro. They've remained true to their philosophy of crafting football boots, and if it's served Ferenc Puskas, Alfredo Di Stefano, Fabio Capello, Jurgen Klinsmann and Roberto Mancini, then that's pedigree enough for us
.

The opportunity to sit down with Kim was like sitting down in an Italian cafe, to hear the tales of a brand that seems intertwined with football history, and although our interview edit is around 4 minutes there's about another 20 minutes worth of similar tales!

Quite understated in their marketing and production of football boots, Pantofola dOro have spurred themselves on for over a century by their attention to detail for fine craftsmanship and their selective quality of leathers.

Pantofola d'Oro are the only football brand born in Italy that remain 100% Italian, the boots are all handcrafted in Ascoli and although this goes against the grain for modern boot construction, that's exactly what we like about Pantofola d'Oro.

Pantofola d'Oro accept there will be people who may never like their footwear, everyone's entitled to their opinions, but at SoccerBible we're amongst those who acknowledge what they're doing - remaining true to their boot philosophy. We'd love to hear your opinions on Pantofola d'Oro online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

My Lazzarinis were the nicest boots I've ever worn, unfortunately as a defensive midfielder I found them a bit soft to be going solidly into tackles with - a real shame as I loved them.

These are better than any boots out there!!! People only crae about looks (Nike, Adidas, Puma etc.) but this is a real boot not stupid Pink Vapors. Though if they costed less, D'Oros,  would be bought more. I went for the Pele 1962 for 120 rather than 160

I would %100 buy these boots if they costed less. i regret not buying them earlier, as the price for the lazzarinis (i want a black pair) have gone from 100 to 120. it's disappointing, but they are still a beautiful brand.

He is 100% right! If it wasn't for money I can assure you that more players would wear this beautiful football shoe.

Ronaldo gets more money from nike so he wears Nike shoes obviously. the same goes for Messi. Pantofola is the next shoe Im going to buy.

I couldn't recommend these highly enough - I sold my last ones but seeing this video has made me decide to order a brand new pair - probably going to go for the 1920s as they look to have a piece of leather in top that should provide more padding for tackles.

These are the best boots ever made.  I justordered my third pair of lazzarinis and I love them. What i love most about them are the rubber studs and the super soft leather.  I would recomend these to anyone but if you are looking for the highest quality in leather then get either the black or brown lazzerinis because they are made from kangaroo leather instead of calf leather which makes the leather thinner, lighter, and more water resistant.

And pcm19 they do make indoor trainers go on pro direct and search panto in the search bar and if you scroll down you will see them.
