Football News > Nani, Dzeko & Cleverley Launch adidas Predator LZ

Adidas brought some of Manchester's finest footballer's together for the recent launch of the new adidas Predator Lethal Zones football boots. Manchester United duo Nani and Tom Cleverley joined local rival Eden Dzeko at an exclusive launch event held at the heart of English football. SoccerBible was in attendance and had a front row seat amongst media onlookers to report back!

The new adidas Predator LZ was the star of the show, as some of the Premier League's highest profile Predator wearers went up against each other in a series of unique challenges designed to test each of the boots Lethal Zones.

Each challenge used at the launch event was designed to help showcase the capabilities of the new adidas Predator Lethal Zones – exercises that were a change up from the players usual training routines! The five challenges at the specially converted venue in Manchester included; the dribble water course, first touch air cannon, sweet spot target practice, drive power generation and pass accuracy showcase.

Leading adidas global figures Edin Dzeko and Luis Nani joined rising star Tom Cleverley to take on each challenge in the latest incarnation of the world's most famous football boot. Manchester United's Portuguese winger said from the event:

“I've been involved in the design process for the new Predator Lethal Zones and I'm excited to see the final product and test it out across the 5 different zones. The boots are light, comfortable and help me control the ball whether I'm passing, shooting or dribbling.”

Amongst each of the five challenges, the most unique and entertaining was undeniably the dribble water course. Designed around an automated slalom course, the challenge tested the player's fast pace dribbling abilities against a series of water blast sequences.

The new adidas Predator Lethal Zones football boots have been adidas' most extensively tested product to date. Aubrey Dolan, the product manager for Predator Lethal Zones said; “We have been working with elite and amateur players for a number of years, and with Lethal Zones we have taken the Predator to a whole new level.”

World-class players from Robin van Persie to Xavi have each tested and contributed valuable input to the development of the adidas Predator Lethal Zones. The much anticipated on-pitch debut of the Predator LZ will take place this weekend across Europe before setting its sights on the European Championships.

Stay tuned to SoccerBible for a full and exclusive interview with adidas' senior product developer Aubrey Dolan. Check out our full reveal of the adidas Predator LZ here. Share your thoughts and join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

I think this promo too cheap and simple, different from the adidas adiPower launch.

In adiPower exclusive launch, adidas brought Kaka, Van Persie, Nani, Fernando Llorente, Jonjo Shelvey, Jack Rodwell and Riccardo Montolivo.

But today they're only had Nani and Dzeko as a star (depend on my opinion Cleverley is not popular enough to launch a boot)

There's a lot of player that use that boot why only these guys??? why not Kaka? Steven Gerard? Di Maria? Xavi? Nasri? Van Persie?

I think it's disappointing... too cheap

they just aren't what I expect from a Predator... should of created a new silo alongside the Predator if they wished to challenge the CTRs
