Flying Dutch winger Eljero Elia has tweeted what could be the launch colourway for the new adidas Predator LZ football boots. We've been expecting the imminent reveal of the new Pred in the next 10 days, but through the wonders of Twitter, Juventus forward Elia looks to have given the social universe an ahead-of-schedule look at a Blue/Red/White adidas Predator LZ.
Elia has made himself the envy of many boot fans, being one of the first to get his hands on the new adidas Predator. The new Predator has undergone quite a dramatic change, to one of the most revolutionary football boots of all time, as adidas continue to evolve and develop the Predator range and enter new territory with their concept of Lethal Zones.
Adidas have been teasing what to expect from the new adidas Predator LZ football boots, by revealing the different Lethal Zones in stages. So far we've seen 'Pass', 'First Touch', 'Drive' and 'Sweet Spot', so let's remind ourselves of what to expect from these zones.
'Pass' is the memory foam on the medial side of the boot, which ensures consistency of passing, and a 3-D sticky print with a large surface area increases ball contact time for more precise passing.
'First Touch' are the rubber zones on the forefoot, which act as a cushioning platform on the synthetic upper to give immediate ball control. 'Drive' is the raised and thicker 3-D shape on the inside of the boot, which follows the natural shape of the instep to create a rebound effect for greater distance and power. 'Sweet Spot' is the smaller surface area on the medial side that generates greater spin and pace.
Could Elia's boots be the launch colourway for the new adidas Predator LZ football boots, and if so what do you think of them? Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
