Even Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have chipped in with their thoughts.
The hunt for England’s next manager is already under-way. A short term appointment is expected, with Capello's former assistant and U21 coach Stuart Pearce tipped to take charge for the upcoming friendly match against the Netherlands. As for Redknapp, Tottenham's title race is rightly front of mind, but the clamour surrounding the vacant England job will be hard to ignore.
