It's been another monster year for football boots. The race at the top between the 'big three' is as fierce as ever, with Nike adidas and Puma all battling for boot supremacy. Nike have enjoyed another fascinating year. From the re-designed Nike Tiempo Elite and T90 Laser IV to Cristiano Ronaldo's latest fashion accessory, Nike have hit us hard with an impressive array of stand-out designs!
Adidas have been relentless in 2011, shaking up the boot market with revolutionary designs. The year 2011 belongs to the Predator adiPower, one of the most successful boots in recent years! After arriving in May with huge expectations, the redesigned Predator took the game by storm! Come September, adidas were ready to drop an even bigger bombshell, this time in the shape of the adizero miCoach. Whether it be in power or speed, adidas were certainly on top of their game in 2011!
Puma have proven that it's certainly not a two horse race in the boot world! After enjoying one of their most successful years, the brand have reached new heights with their boot silos and player roster! Superstars including Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Cesc Fabregas have fronted the 2011 Puma revolution across Europe. With new football boots from the Puma v1.11 to the PowerCat 1.12, Puma have raised the bar with their boot designs. One boot scout of the top European leagues will show you just how far they have come in 2011. Potentially 2012's most exciting brand!
Of course, it's not all about the big three. Umbro and Mizuno have also taken big strides in 2011 while Pantofola d'Oro, Lotto, Joma and Pele Sports have each drawn our attention with impressive releases.
