To coincide with the upcoming retail release of the new adidas F50 adiZero miCoach, adidas are spanning tech and retail shopping at their flagship store in Oxford Street, London. Adidas will use the world's first giant touch-screen Virtual Footwear Wall (VFW) to revolutionise how we shop in store!
The VFW uses state of the art touch-screen and precision real-time 3D rendered products allowing customers to rotate footwear to view from multiple angles, zoom in to see the finest detail, get additional product information as well as watching video material and reading comments on the products in real time from twitter.
The VFW's technology recently won the Retail Innovation of the Year award and could represent the future of the in-store shopping experience. The VFW installation will allow consumers to pre-order the new boots via a fully immersive retail experience. The first 250 customers who pre-order the boots using the wall from this Sunday (30th Oct) will receive a £25 discount and entry for them and a friend to an exclusive event where they will meet a Premiership footballer!
