Following in the footsteps of LA Galaxy team-mate David Beckham, Omar Gonzalez has got himself a pair of customised adiPower Predator soccer shoes, and it's quite clear where the inspiration for his cleats came from...
Twenty-two year old Gonzalez has been at the Galaxy his entire senior career, so when it came to designing his own pair of customised adiPower's it didn't take long to come up with a colour-scheme.
Inspired by LA Galaxy's third uniform, unveiled back in July, Gonzalez's adiPower Predator football boots feature a black/white/gold colourway, whilst interestingly retaining the standard blue colourway sole-plate.
It's certainly an honour, usually reserved for the likes of Beckham and Gerrard, for Gonzalez to be an adidas endorsed athlete yet allowed to wear a colourway not part of their collection. Especially when you consider how difficult it can be to unify pro's to wearing your new colourways, with Berbatov and Gerrard examples of players who are quite stubborn when it comes to changing boots. Which makes us wonder if in a few months time, Gonzalez will be prepared to part with his custom LA Galaxy soccer boots!
