Football News > Football Boots Spotting - 24/01/11

Check out what players and boots made our weekly SoccerBible boots-spotting! The new adizero boots continue to make impressive displays across Europe along with an array of other boot sightings!

Yaya Toure (Manchester City) Nike T90 Laser III

Shout out to @adi_06 on Twitter for this spot which came from Manchester City's game against Aston Villa. Yaya Toure was spotted in a pair of blacked out Nike T90 Laser III football boots for the second week running.

Glen Johnson (Liverpool) Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite

Newly converted CTR wearer Glen Johnson was spotted once again in a pair of Nike CTR Maestri II football boots as Liverpool took on Wolves. Previously a Lotto wearer, Johnson made the switch a couple of weeks ago to the new Nike boots!

David Silva (Manchester City) adidas F50 adizero

We had our first sighting of Manchester City's winger David Silva wearing the new Black/Electricity adizero football boots this weekend as Manchester City suffered a set back in their title challenge with a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Hugo Rodallega (Wigan Athletic) Nike Safari Superfly II

Fans of the Nike Safari Superfly football boots needn't worry that Ronaldo is no longer wearing them in La Liga! Wigan's Hugo Rodallega was spotted wearing the Safari Nike Superfly II boots at the weekend as his side lost 3-0 to Arsenal.

Samir Nasri (Arsenal) adidas F50 adizero Prime

Arguably the player of the season so far in the Premier League, Samir Nasri was spotted wearing the new adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots. The Arsenal winger was wearing the standard leather adizero boots the week before but has made the switch to the adizero Prime boots that featured a France flag on the heel.

Robinho (AC Milan) Nike Mercurial Superfly II

After more boot swaps than we can remember, it looks like Robinho might have made his mind up after all. The Brazilian forward was spotted in a non blacked-out pair of black/volt Nike Superfly II football boots at the weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Nike Windchill Mercurial Superfly II

Ronaldo gave his new Windchill Nike Superfly II football boots their second appearance in one week as Real Madrid took on Mallorca. He failed to find the back of the net this time as his side put in a less than convincing performance, scraping a 1-0 win.

Mehdi Lacen (Racing) adidas adiPURE III

Some good colour co-ordination from Mehdi Lacen of Racing Santander who was spotted in a unique pair of white/green adidas adiPURE III football boots as his side took on Barcelona.

Bassen Abbas (Iraq) adidas F50 adizero

Iraq's defender Bassem Abbas spotted in a unique looking pair of black/yellow custom adizero football boots as his side took on North Korea in the Asian Cup.

Gholamreza Rezaei (Iran) Puma v1.06

The Asian Cup is reaching its climax and there's still some good boot spots coming from the tournament. Iran's forward Gholamreza Rezaei was spotted in a pair of Puma v1.06 football boots during their match against UAE.

Michael McGlinchey (Central Coast Mariners) Puma v1.10 II

Over to the A-League for this boot spot. Michael McGlinchey of the Central Coast Mariners was spotted wearing a pair of the new White/Blk/Red Puma v1.10 II football boots as his side took on Sydney FC.

Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal) Nike CTR360 Maestri II

After a mid-week performance in the old blue Nike CTR boots, Cesc Fabregas was back in his new Red/White Nike CTR Maestri II football boots for Arsenal's game against Wigan at the weekend.

Steven Pienaar (Tottenham Hotspur) adidas F50 adizero Leather

Steven Pienaar made his first appearance for his new club Tottenham Hotspur wearing the leather adidas F50 adizero football boots. Its a case of old vs new in this picture as he goes up against Shola Ameobi wearing the old White/Pink leather adizero boots.

Edgar Alvarez (Bari) Nike Superfly I

Edgar Alvarez spotted in a pair of Nike Superfly I football boots along with Nike (RED) laces during the Serie A match between Bari and Napoli.

If there are any players and boots you've spotted and think should feature on this page, mail us at: u2us@soccerbible.com putting 'Boot Spotting' in the subject field.

The adipures look really good with the racing kit....Yaya's t90's look sick blacked out with the yellow kinda peeking out... And i find it weird that nike spent so much money promoting and making the CR Safaris and Cristiano himself didnt even wear them for that long... but I dont blame him for switching to the windchill, Great colourway and goes with Real's kit.. And i liked the old Puma spot and the Superfly I's which look awesome with the (RED) laces
