Football News > Behind-the-scenes at Nike Football Store

SoccerBible had exclusive behind-the-scenes access at the reopening of the Nike Football Store in Manchester, an event that drew such star names as Rio Ferdinand, James Milner, Chicharito, Adam Johnson, Darren Gibson and Tinchy Stryder! Here's what happened...

SoccerBible received an invite to the star studded bash, which was being held to celebrate the opening of Nike's first ever store dedicated solely to football! The Nike Football Store Manchester gives fans the opportunity to design their own bespoke football boots plus check out the latest football gear, and for this ultra cool event SoccerBible was there to share the experience with our fans.

Fresh from the Manchester derby, Nike had assembled an all-star cast which included England captain Rio Ferdinand, James Milner, Chicharito, Adam Johnson, Darren Gibson and special guest Tinchy Stryder. Of course, with players from both Manchester City and Manchester United in the room there was some good banter and a touch of rivalry, so there was only one logical way to sort this out...a game of table football! Tinchy Stryder was on hand to marshal the game and prevent any cheating, and lucky competition winners were soon able to join in the fun.

The Nike Football Store offers the NIKEiD service, where you can customise your choice of Nike boot silo, and after finishing his frantic game of table football James Milner joined the SoccerBible to design a boot for us! We had an exclusive chat with the Manchester City and England star talking boots and football - so stay tuned for that great interview plus a fantastic giveaway!

Overall, it was a fantastic event which celebrated a global first, a Nike Football Store dedicated entirely to football. If you're in the neighbourhood we'd recommend checking it out, although we can't promise you'll bump into Rio Ferdinand, Chicarito or James Milner!
