Football News > Nike BOOM! - Nike Pro Combat Base Layer

BOOM is a moment that changes the game, it can be that burst of speed down the line, a goal saving tackle or a clean volley into the top corner. These are the moments that all footballers want to create and the fans want to see, they are the essence of sport, everyone wants more BOOM...

BOOM is the current campaign from Nike for their Pro Combat range, which gives athletes both the physical and mental edge to create game changing moments. The Nike BOOM campaign has recruited such star players as Wayne Rooney, Wesley Sneijder and Abou Diaby, and as we enter the winter months across Europe the importance of performance base layers becomes crucial.

The campaign will run throughout this Fall, as Nike introduce the Pro Combat baselayers designed to be worn under your sports kit, against your skin for use in competition and training. The Nike Pro Combat range is made up of four different silo’s, each with its own unique product offering to help you get more from your training and playing apparel no matter what time of year, but more succinctly during the cold winter months.

The Nike Pro Combat Hyperwarm range is designed to help keep you warm, even when it's not. It uses a brushed polyester Dri-FIT technical fabric that provides maximum warmth to help keep you dry. A body-skimming fit allows for a thin layer of air to be trapped next to the skin to help keep you warm.

The Nike Pro Combat Hyperstrong range provides lightweight protection for the serious athlete who wants to dominate the competition. Utilizing ergonomically designed Nike Pro Deflex floating foam technology to cushion impact, zoned anti-abrasion hip and thigh panels help prevent injuries in the Slider Shorts.

The Nike Pro Combat Core range is an engineered, stretch, body-fitted, first layer. Dynamic fit and superior technical fabrics provide optimal ventilation and moisture management while strategically designed seams offer enhanced comfort for performance.

Over the coming months, you will see more and more players in the Premier League, Primera Division and Serie A adorning base layers. They have become a crucial piece of performance equipment to have in your kitbag, as they not only regulate your body temperature, but they stimulate your muscles and help prevent injury. You can expect to see Nike's BOOM campaign hitting pitches across Europe, featuring prominently at the Emirates, Villa Park and Old Trafford stadiums.

Maybe if Rooney hadn't done all of these pointless ads for publicity and money, then he wouldnt have gone temporarily bat *** crazy for wanting to leave MU.

i have a super cheap Campri thermal ( yeah its an unknown brand, AND?)  and its probably the warmest thermal i have ever had. and yes i have purchased and used Under Armour, Nike Pro and adidas. I have to say though my Adidas Climcool vest keeps me dry and the under armour top keeps me a bit warm, but the Campri is just amazing. The nike compression shorts are very good though, i have them and they keep my muscle warm and ready :)
