Football News > Premier League Preview - Football Boots To Look Out For 2010/11

As the new Premier League season kicks off, we thought it'd be interesting to gauge the opinions of the football boots buying public. Let us know which football boots YOU think will flourish during the 2010/11 season!

We've selected fifteen (count 'em!) of the most popular boot silos to choose from, all worn by some of your favourite Premier League stars. We're aware that some have cornered more of the player market than others (we're looking at you adiZero!) but that's more of a reason to make a case for YOUR favourite football boots, soccer cleats, or what ever you use for the beautiful game...

adidas F50 adiZero

What more can we say about a boot that has taken the game by storm. Players are flocking to wear the adiZero's, they impressed during the World Cup but can they have the same impact on the Premier League.

Nike Vapor Superfly

There was a time, not that long ago infact that Nike's Superfly was seen as the pinnacle of performance footwear, and some will argue that it still is. But you can be sure that with players like Drogba wearing the Superfly, they will fight off any pretenders to the throne.

Nike CTR360 Maestri

People forget the CTR360 Maestri football boots have been around for less than 12 months, they already seem such a consistent performer that they can surely look forward to a solid first full season in the Premier League.

adidas Predator

A true great and icon in the football boots world. The Predator will always have a popular following, but with the flood of new boots on the market is the dominance of the Predator's appeal fading?

Nike T90 Laser

One of the more innovative creations on the boot market. The Nike T90 Laser football boots potentially have the two most lethal strikers in the Premier League, boasting Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney as wearers.

Puma v1

The Puma v1 range of football boots have been stunned by the loss of both Nicolas Anelka and John Carew, but with new recruit Milan Jovanovic can they still be a force to reckon with.

Nike Mercurial Vapor

The Nike Mercurial Vapor used to be the king of boots, but has been ousted by the Superfly and now poterntially more worryingly for Vapor fans, the adidas adiZero!

adidas adiPure

A classy consistent performer, the adiPure is always going to feature prominently thanks to key wearer Frank Lampard. And its status may have been enhanced by new Manchester United convert Darren Fletcher.

Puma PowerCat

One of the toughest boots on the market. If you come across a defender wearing the PowerCats beware because they mean business, our prime example being Nemanja Vidic!

Umbro Speciali

Probably not about to set the pitch alight, but boasting John Terry, Michael Dawson and Michael Owen isn't a bad shout, and the Speciali is a classic performer.

Nike Tiempo Legend

A lot of players have migrated from the Tiempo Legend into the CTR's, such as Carlos Tevez and Cesc Fabregas. But Tiempo favourite Joe Cole is a player who has remained faithful, where this boot still looks to cut it at the top.

Umbro Stealth

We're still waiting for the Umbro Stealth to make an impression following it's release last season. But perhaps given a full year it could show us what it can do, although it may struggle for big name endorsement wearers.

Mizuno Wave Ignitus

The dark horse package from the World Cup, the Mukaiten panel has taken boot fans by surprise. But can the Wave Ignitus make an impact on the Premier League, as the only confirmed wearer is Roque Santa Cruz.

Puma King

The Puma King is a boot classic, but is there room left in the Premier League for sentiment. Or should we stop talking about heritage, and acknowledge the Puma King as a modern day performer...?

Umbro GT

The most recent addition to the boots market will have it's work cut out if it is to make an impact. But the Umbro GT's key wearer Darren Bent isn't one for being shy, so it should be an interesting debut season.

Here at the SoccerBible, we can't wait to see these football boots in action in the Premier League. We're aware there are a host of colourways and incarnations we haven't showcased, but we're sure you get the idea. It's going to be a great season, but which football boots do YOU think will set the 2010/11 Premier League season alight?!

Adidas deserve to have their boots worn by the most players this season just because the Adizero's only cost £125 when they could have quite easily priced them in the same range as the Superfly's.

The stealth pro have managed to gain a large following in the Championship this year. There was plenty of players wearing them last weekend, it seemed they were up there with the adizeros as most popular.

Counting by varieties exist in the current market as well as past World Cup 2010 achievements, I think it will still be Adizero being the top notch in this football boots.

Nike may have more players wear them compared to others, but their range was quite (read: too many) wide. There are T90, Vapor (Vapor & Superfly), CTR360, Tiempo and not to imagine you have to again split this by ELITE series..

so... if you want to count a specific football boots that will reign.. Adizero is the answer..

Although, personally I would see myself using T90 White rather than others.. (p.s. CTR360 may have cross my thoughts).

Guess.. too many diversification have the disadvantages as well, no..?

tiempo will always cut it. its a raw boot, giving you what you need and aids ur game with comfort, touch and ball feel. i got the naturals, still need a bit of break in time, but they are better than my mercurials.

Favorite boot for me is my current... My Preds. I swear i dont know why or how but when i put them on i can hit the back of the net 3x harder lol

Today in my game i basically had the sweetest cross ever. I barely knicked the ball  and it swerves like none other like 90 degrees right to the back post for a striker.

X's all the way :D
