I'm all for new technology and all...but I really hope people don't run out and buy these just because they think they will make them noticeably faster.  If you have to trim 4 ounces on each boot to run considerably "faster", you probably should just work on your speed in general.  Plenty of fast players use non-speed boots and 10 ounce + boots because they don't want to sacrifice the protection, durability, and comfort.

I agree TommyGun. But I wear T90s and Im a winger. When you wear boots like them, you really do feel the heavyness of the boots. I'm not buying the Adizeros. But heavy boots like Preds and T90s do impact your play if you play as a winger

Im really  not sure which boots to buy. im thinking of getting the mizuno or these but comfort is really important n so is  the weight of the boot. However mizuno havnt realeased n sg version(but cris was wearing them against bayern.) any thoughts guys?

just the other day I heard of a v1.10 SL edition which is supposedly going to weigh in at just 150g!!! that's even lighter than the adiZero's 165g believe it or not

Even though the shoes are going to be lighter, there not going to have a lot of protection which is very importsnt

idk about these yet, they might be lighter but yu still mite be better off with superflies if its more protection.

Who cares its about the player, boots can help but its all about the player

Of course theres alot of gimmicks, Adidas especially have always done this. Look at the Predator range and how they orignally marketed it saying you could make the ball curl more. Tell that to Roberto Carlos who was wearing Umbro Speciali's when he scored that free-kick in Le Tournoi!  Yes there is going to be 'some' truth in the marketing, but not a great deal.

I agree with TommyGun, and can anyone back up football not soccer, because I want to know if its true because everyone keeps sayin there wont be a boot lighter than the Adizero this year is that 100% true?

Depends what you like really, some people like playing in leather cos of protection others like light boots cos its less weight which wont make u run that much faster but it may give u confidence. its down to personal preference...

ok. so ... i have these boots. i cant tell you, its not making me faster, but after two hours of training, im less tired.

the science behind it is, if your shoes are lighter, you use less energy to move your feet, and honestly between the comfort and the weight, i am able to recover better and faster. for me, thats no gimmick.

if i had to choose, i would go for the leather; they are about 10 grams heavier on a size 7, which fits like a 7.5. the leather isnt great like it is on adipures, but it likely has something to do with the absence of lining.

either way, get them if you train a lot. dont get them if you want to shed time on your breakaways. like the video said, the game is more physical, so if youre worried about your breakaway time so that you can get away from defenders, or deal with a hack, get some Konstructs and wear all-around guards.

@mightyhammer...I never said they were the only ones!? I was merely making the point that Adidas (since this is a discussion on a new Adidas product after all) have always used gimmicks to sell their products, and I used the Predators as an example.

Hey personally i think that gimmicks do have a lot to do with it but some of the stuff does work. And i agree with Tommy gun if you want to improve your speed you might want to work with it. And enattron i agree with you to. if a boot is lighter then it will take some energy loss away from your body. Power boots only one really works and that is the T90. i have them and  i have had preads and all the other power boots but they dont work as good as the T90. Speed boot wise these are going to be ten times lighter than the tunits. the only good speed boot that i am going to get later on this year are the vapors. And so what the superflys have a moving stud the vapors are just as light at a less expensive price. i am done with my comment

these boots suck..superfly and vapor Vs are way better :)
