The Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots made their Premier League debut this weekend, along with a host of players changing their boots, some still wearing very old pairs and even a pair of completely unique T90 Laser III football boots...

MICHAEL CARRICK
Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots
Carrick has previously worn Puma King football boots in his playmaker role at Manchester United, so he must obviously be impressed with the touch and ball feel the kangaroo leather on the new PowerCat's offers.

LIAM RIDGEWELL
Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots
We love seeing customised football boots, especially if it's done well, and there's no denying Ridgewell has done a good job with his CTR's as they match his Birmingham kit perfectly.

SYLVAIN DISTIN
adidas F50i football boots
Distin is the first player we've spotted wearing the new white/black leather adidas F50i football boots, surprising as they look really classy with a white pair of socks.

PATRICK VIEIRA
adidas Predator X football boots
Patrick Vieira made his return to the Premier League wearing adidas Predator X football boots, and it was actually Predator boots that Vieira was wearing when he played his last Premier League game for Arsenal, although on that occasion they were Pulse's.

KEVIN PHILLIPS
Umbro Speciali football boots
Quite a bold statement, but Kevin Phillips must be one of the best natural finishers in the Premier League, as proven with two well taken goals in the last ten minutes. This season Phillips has worn Under Armour Dominate's and Puma v-Konstrukt's but he now seems settled in the Umbro Speciali's.

RYAN BABEL
Nike T90 Laser III football boots
Probably the most unique boot spot of the weekend was Ryan Babel, who was wearing some form of hybrid T90 Laser III boots. Babel is previously a Superfly wearer, but his new boots look like a cross between the new Lasers and a pair of Legends!

BACARY SAGNA
Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots
Another player debuting the Puma PowerCat's was Bacary Sagna for Arsenal. The PowerCat's are replacing the v-Konstrukt football boots, so it wasn't surprising to see Sagna who used to wear v-Konstrukt's, sporting Puma's new power and accuracy football boots.

ROGER JOHNSON
Nike Air Zoom Total 90 III football boots
Johnson provided an interesting boot spot, because at the moment we are seeing a host of players changing into the new T90 Laser III football boots, but Johnson seems more than happy to stick with his AZT90's which were originally released back in 2000!

ILAN
adidas adiPure football boots
Ilan scored his first goal for West Ham wearing an old pair of boots, Ilan was wearing the original adiPure football boots, which are in some people's opinion still the best from the range.
DIDIER DROGBA
Nike Mercurial Superfly football boots
Surely it's about time Drogba changed into the orion blue Vapor Superfly football boots, not just because they are a more recent release, but because they would brilliantly match the Chelsea home kit. Although his current pair seem to be serving him well, as he scored two goals against Arsenal.

JOZY ALTIDORE
adidas F50i football boots
Jozy Altidore scored his first Premier League goal for Hull wearing the original cyan adidas F50i football boots, Altidore is one of the few F50 wearers who is still playing in the original colourway.

BRANISLAV IVANOVIC
Nike T90 Laser III football boots
Ivanovic is just one of a growing number of players who are wearing the white/obsidian/gold Laser III football boots. And although the boots are designed for accuracy they are also designed for power, and for this they certainly serve powerful defender Ivanovic well.

LEE BOWYER
Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots
Bowyer has previously worn the Nike T90 Laser II football boots all season, but this was his first venture into the new Nike CTR360 football boots. Which surprised us as footballers are usually quite superstitious, and wearing Laser II's Bowyer is Birmingham's top goal scorer.

THEO WALCOTT
Nike Mercurial Superfly football boots
We think the white/black/pink Superfly's are a great looking boot, so it was pleasing to see another Premier League player choosing to wear the new colourway. And Walcott even sported the Nike (RED) laces, a campaign that the Gunners are fully backing.
