The Football League Show

The Championship teams get a break due to the international weekend, so the focus is very much on League One and Two. MK Dons have appointed Karl Robinson as full-time coach after Paul Ince left the club at the end of last season, and they face Hartlepool in one of the games of the day in League One. Elsewhere, Southampton host Rochdale at St Mary's, while further along the south coast, Peter Reid's Plymouth entertain Brighton. Presented by Manish Bhasin.

World Cup's Shocking Moments 2010

Richard Bacon is assisted by David Seaman as he takes a hilarious look back at the 50 greatest shocks from South Africa 2010 - from Rob Green's blunder against the USA to the French team going on strike; from Uruguay cheating Ghana out of a place in the semi-final to Frank Lampard's infamous 'goal that never was'. There are also the brilliant moments that may have slipped under the radar - Fabio Capello daring to bully Stuart Pearce, Emmanuel Eboue speaking Korean and the madness of Maradona.

Football News > Football Boots - Premier League Head-2-Heads - 05/02/10

We've picked the key on-field battles from the weekend's big Premier League fixtures. The winners of these head-to-head battles will be influential on their team recording a victory, but who do YOU think will be the winners?!

Saturday 6th February
12:45 - Liverpool v Everton
Liverpool host the 213th Merseyside derby as they welcome Everton to Anfield in the Premier League. The encounter is one of the most hotly anticipated in recent seasons with both sides finally conjuring up some form heading into the game, Liverpool are undefeated in six Premier League games and Everton in nine!

STEVEN GERRARD

adidas Predator X football boots

This is exactly the type of game when the Liverpool team turns to their inspirational captain. We haven't really seen Gerrard at his powerful best recently, but wearing the adidas Predator X football boots he benefits from the PowerSpine, so if he gets the chance to unleash a big shot Gerrard will be putting all his power into it.

MAROUANE FELLAINI

Nike Tiempo Legend III football boots

Fellaini will be called upon to get heavily involved in this derby game, he will be putting hiimself about the pitch trying to break up attacks and create for his team. To perform Fellaini will be wearing the Tiempo Legend football boots, which will be soft and comfortable over the course of the ninety minutes whilst offering excellent ball touch and feel.

Saturday 6th February 17:30 - Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa
Top four hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa go head-to-head in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification spot. There is little to choose between the two sides heading into the game, with Tottenham having lost only one of their last eight fixtures in the league and Villa winning three of their last four on the road.

JERMAIN DEFOE

adidas F50i football boots

Defoe has switched back into his silver/red F50i football boots, and was instantly rewarded with a hat-trick against Leeds. The F50i is a direct competitor to the Superfly, but will it be Defoe who is at his sharpest and fastest this weekend to help his team keep hold of that fourth spot?

GABRIEL AGBONLAHOR

Nike Vapor Superfly football boots

Agbonlahor has been in great form recently, and must surely be pushing for a place in England's World Cup squad. Coming up against Defoe is a battle Agbonlahor must win if he is to prove he is good enough for Capello. And wearing Superfly football boots he is certainly equipped to be at his fastest, because as we know he has got lightning pace.

Sunday 7th February
16:00 - Chelsea v Arsenal
Arsenal are hoping to get their Premier League title bid back on track as they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea. With a potential gap of nine points on offer for table-toppers Chelsea, while a win for the visitors would shorten the deficit to just three, both sides will be viewing this clash as a six-pointer in the title race.

FRANK LAMPARD

adidas adiPure III football boots

Lampard is a very similar player to Fabregas, a playmaker in midfield who can make late surging runs into the box to score. But, interestingly Lampard's boot choice is very different to Fabregas, as he opts for the all kangaroo leather adiPure III football boots, which give him natural comfort and feel for the ball.

CESC FABREGAS

Nike CTR369 Maestri football boots

Fabregas is the Premier League's top scoring midfielder this season with 11 goals, and if he wants to maintain that record he will have to outplay Lampard in the midfield battle. This season Fabregas has debuted and championed the CTR360 football boots, and in this battle he will have to make the most of the total ball control technology.

These boots are designed to assist the players performance, but this weekend which players and football boots do YOU think will win their head-2-head battles?
