The Football League Show

The Championship teams get a break due to the international weekend, so the focus is very much on League One and Two. MK Dons have appointed Karl Robinson as full-time coach after Paul Ince left the club at the end of last season, and they face Hartlepool in one of the games of the day in League One. Elsewhere, Southampton host Rochdale at St Mary's, while further along the south coast, Peter Reid's Plymouth entertain Brighton. Presented by Manish Bhasin.

World Cup's Shocking Moments 2010

Richard Bacon is assisted by David Seaman as he takes a hilarious look back at the 50 greatest shocks from South Africa 2010 - from Rob Green's blunder against the USA to the French team going on strike; from Uruguay cheating Ghana out of a place in the semi-final to Frank Lampard's infamous 'goal that never was'. There are also the brilliant moments that may have slipped under the radar - Fabio Capello daring to bully Stuart Pearce, Emmanuel Eboue speaking Korean and the madness of Maradona.

Football News > Football Boots - European Round-Up - 15/12/09

Every Tuesday the SoccerBible rounds-up the weeks best European domestic action, football boots on show and the star performers...

Barcelona and Real Madrid were both victorious, as were Celtic and Rangers. The top three all failed to win in Serie A, Bordeaux defeated sorry Lyon while Bayern Munich continued their resurgence...

Barcelona remain five points clear of Real Madrid after both teams won their matches. Barca beat neighbours Espanyol 1-0 thanks to an Ibrahimovic penalty. Real had Garay to thank after he scored an 83rd minute winner, to edge out Valencia 3-2. Sevilla climbed above Valencia after defeating Sporting Gijon.
Key Player - Carles Puyol

Bayern Munich continue to climb up the table, after an impressive 5-1 victory over VfL Bochum. Schalke moved to within one point of leaders Bayer Leverkusen after they capitalised on another Leverkusen draw, by beating Werder Bremen 2-0. Elsewhere, there were eight goals at Borussia Monchengladbach!
Key Player - Philipp Lahm

Table-toppers Inter Milan were reduced to ten men and denied three points thanks to a late Atalanta goal. AC Milan suffered a shock defeat after Palermo stunned the San Siro with a 2-0 victory, and another Juventus defeat, 3-1 by Bari, has left Juventus manager Ciro Ferrara under mounting pressure.

Key Player - Wesley Sneijder

Marc-Antoine Fortune came off the bench to score a 79th minute winner in a 3-2 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park. Rivals Rangers maintain their pursuit after cruising to a 3-0 win over St Johnstone, while third-placed Hibernian were denied three points by lowly Kilmarnock.

Key Player - Marc-Antoine Fortune

Marouane Chamakh gave Ligue leaders Bordeaux a massive 1-0 victory over Lyon, who have not won in five outings. Marseille were comfortable 2-0 winners against Boulogne, Montpellier climbed to second with victory over Toulouse and Lille notched a fourth straight success as they hammered Monaco 4-0.

Key Player - Hatem Ben Arfa

If I remember correctly, Wesley Sneijder was the one sent off. Star players should be those who actually played well, not those who are wearing the latest boots.

why cant pros get colorways of boots that match their kits? i just think it looks low brow when a player wears colored boots that clash heavily with the colors of the team.

i mean, even if a cetain boot dosn't have the colors of the team, nike has nike ID and adidas miadidas, its not like they cant get custom colors...

sorry end rant lol
