Football News > Football Boots - Premier League Head to Heads - The Winners!

It was a controversial weekend of football, with temperatures running high and some passionate performances! Here's the individuals who came out on top and won the SoccerBible's Premier League head-to-heads...

Adebayor (Man City) v Fabregas (Arsenal) Winner:

EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR

Wow! Adebayor certainly came out on top in this battle, but at what cost? It was a passionate performance from the striker as he stamped and kicked his way to the ball, but there was no denying his skill when on the ball wearing F50i football boots, and his goal was a well taken header.

Lennon (Tottenham) v Rooney (Man Utd) Winner:

WAYNE ROONEY

Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United have been looking to Rooney gel the attack. And at the weekend Rooney was in impressive form, and crucially he scored the third goal which killed off any hopes Spurs had of getting back into this game.

Kitson (Stoke) v Lampard (Chelsea) Winner:

FRANK LAMPARD

Lampard was running the show for Chelsea in the middle of the park, which meant Stoke's Kitson had little service up front. Lampard provided an excellent through ball off his adiPure boot for Drogba to score an equalising goal, before Chelsea scored a dramatic late winner.

McFadden (Birmingham) v Young (Aston Villa) Winner:

ASHLEY YOUNG

This was always going to be a tightly contested match, and ultimately a set-piece proved to be the difference. McFadden was fairly average, so it proved to be Ashley Young's free-kick which made the difference. Young delivered from his F50i football boot onto the head of John Carew for Agbonlahor to finish for a 1-0 victory.

It's a huge weekendThese are the players who will make the difference this weekend, how they perform will determine whether their team wins or loses! So, at the SoccerBible we want to know who YOU think will win this weekends Premier League head-to-head battles?

Saturday 12th September
15:00 GMT - Manchester City v Arsenal
This is Manchester City's first real test against one of the big four opposition, to see how much progress they have actually made. There will be added spice as Arsenal fans will have to watch former players Toure and Adebayor playing against their beloved Arsenal side!

EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR

Adebayor has stated his performances are a direct result of the love he feels from the City fans, which is sure to fire up the Gunners. However, there is no denying the big striker poses a threat to his former colleagues, and he has taken to his new adidas F50i football boots very quickly.

CESC FABREGAS

Nike Tiempo Legend III football boots

Fabregas has shown in the past he loves the challenge of playing old colleagues (, he certainly got the upper hand when he played Vieira!). And wearing a comfortable and natural feeling Nike Legend football boot, we know Fabregas has the abilities to dictate the entire game.

Saturday 12th September
17:30 GMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
Tottenham have been the fastest team out of the blocks this season. They jointly hold top spot in the Premier League and are top scorers, so for the first time they probably go into this home game with Manchester United as favourites.

AARON LENNON

Nike Mercurial Superfly football boots

Lennon is the hottest player in the Premier League at the moment, with electrifying performances. And whilst United are looking for a new Cristiano Ronaldo, it appears Tottenham have found their own, who also wears Nike Superfly football boots. If Lennon gets up to speed can he torment the United defence, or can United deal with the pint sized winger?

WAYNE ROONEY

Nike T90 Laser II football boots

Rooney will be more than happy for the focus to be on another player, but beware as he is a dangerous player in any game. Wearing the Nike T90 Laser football boots Rooney is lethal, and can provide the killer blow against the run of play or when opposition feel they are getting the upper hand.

Saturday 12th September
15:00 GMT - Stoke City vs Chelsea
Stoke's first season in the Premier League was a huge success thanks to their home form. So, despite an impressive start to the season Chelsea could easily slip up, against a Stoke side which will be expecting to win in front of their boisterous fans!

DAVE KITSON

Nike Mercurial Talaria football boots

Kitson has proved that you don't need to wear top-end football boots to perform at the highest level, as he plays in Nike Talaria football boots. Kitson has been in clinical form this season, and if he can score a half chance then Stoke could carry the momentum in this game.

FRANK LAMPARD

Two goals for England midweek proved what a key player Frank Lampard is for both Chelsea and England. And transfer ban or no transfer ban, Lampard will be there performing at the heart of a Chelsea team that can challenge any side in the world.

Sunday 13th September
12:00 GMT - Birmingham City vs Aston Villa
The midlands derby is always a fiery encounter, and this game will probably be Birmingham's biggest of the season. We can expect strong challenges and controversial decisions!

JAMES MCFADDEN

With narrow loses away to Manchester United and Tottenham this season, Birmingham players and fans know they are more than capable of beating their rivals. And Birmingham will be looking to McFadden who has the skills and direct running to unlock a stubborn defence.

ASHLEY YOUNG

adidas F50i football boots

Aston Villa will be expecting a scrap when they travel to their midland rivals, but their performance against Liverpool proved they can defend and win through set pieces. Ashley Young is a key player, wearing the new F50i football boots he prefers a leather upper to deliver his dangerous set-pieces. Can Young's deliveries, and his running with the ball, provide the killer blow?

WE WANT TO KNOW WHO YOU THINK WILL COME OUT ON TOP IN THIS WEEKENDS HEAD-TO-HEAD BATTLES? WHICH PLAYERS WILL HAVE THE BETTER GAME, AND WHO'S TEAM WILL BE VICTORIOUS?
