It's kick off time! With the new season already ahead for many leagues across the world and the official curtain-raiser to the new Premier League season all taking place this weekend, it's been a busy week for the intrepid SoccerBible Boot Spotters! Check out some of the players and boots causing a stir...
NANI
Nike Mercurial Vapor V football boots
Many United fans are looking to Nani to step up and fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Portugese winger duly responded with a superb strike in the Community Shield. Wearing the Vapor V in soft ground, Nani cut inside and unleashed a fierce strike not too reminiscent of his fellow countryman...

ASHLEY COLE
Puma v1.08 football boots
As spotted a few weeks ago on pre-season tour, Ashley Cole continues to match the new Chelsea kit with the super-fast Puma v1.08 royal/white boots. We think they go great with the new kit and obviously Cole does too, as Chelsea picked up the first trophy of the season with a 4-1 penalty shoot out win over Manchester United.

CARLOS TEVEZ
Nike Air Legend football boots
Perhaps influenced by the retro take on the Manchester City shirt, or more likely now showing his new colour allegience? Tevez wore these classic pair of Air Legend boots in white/blue for his long awaited debut at the City of Manchester Stadium. The Blues recorded an impressive 2-1 victory over Celtic.

KAKA
adidas adiPure II football boots
Kaka is the face of the adidas adiPure II boots, but even we have to admit we were surprised to see him in the new Uni Red/White colourway! After being presented to the Bernebeau fans in a classy white-out pair, Kaka was spotted with the cool red/white colour combo boots as Madrid continued their tour with a comfortable 3-0 win over MLS side DC United.

ALEXANDRE PATO
Nike Tiempo Legend III football boots
Another curious Boot Spotting this week as Pato swapped from his usual Nike Vapor line boots to the new Tiempo Legend III. AC Milan took on Benfica and the Brazilian superstar had a hand in the equalising goal, showing trademark skill and flair causing all manner of panic in the Benfica defence, but could not prevent his side from suffering a 5-4 penalty loss.

RONALDINHO
Nike Ronaldinho Dois football boots
No doubt not wanting to be upstaged by his fellow Brazilian, Ronaldinho continues to show his class in footwear at least with these superb Gold Nike 10R Dois football boots. We think they look great with the new Milan kit!

KEVIN KURANYI
adidas F50i TUNiT football boots
Kuranyi got the new Bundesliga season off to a flying start with a double against Nuernberg, and is enjoying the change to the adidas F50i boots. Kuranyi's heroics ensured Schalke 04 scored a vital away win early on in the campaign.

PETER CROUCH
Puma v1.08 Football Boots
Crouch marked his home debut in a pre-season friendly against Olympiakos, and despite not getting on the scoresheet still chose to upgrade his boots to the recently released Black/Gold Puma v1.08s, making an interesting colour combination with the new Spurs away kit!
