Following the 2012 Brasil kit launch earlier this month, Nike have now unveiled a series of away national team kits for the upcoming European Championships. Nike will be kitting out a total of four national sides in Poland/Ukraine this summer, the most exciting of which are the Flying Dutchmen who will go into battle wearing the new 2012 Nike Holland Away Kit.
Simply put, it's a beauty! Holland are going into the Euro 2012 finals as one of the favourites for the tournament and their new away strip will ensure they're one of the sharpest looking teams as well! Holland haven't been short of a great looking kit or two over recent years, but the new Nike Holland Away shirt might top the lot. Take a look and let us know what you think online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
It's been ten years since the Dutch national side first had a black away strip. Nike, who have manufactured Holland football shirts since 1997, have decided to return to black in seriously cool fashion. The shirt will first be worn in the England vs Holland friendly match on 29.02.12; the same match in which England will debut their new Umbro home strip!
Netherland football shirts are traditionally one of the best selling Nike soccer jerseys and the new 2012 Holland Away shirt looks like being no different. Renowned for their bright orange football kits, the new black design offers a stark alternative for the Oranje that is sure to be one of the finals best looking Euro shirts!
Technically speaking, these are Nike's most advanced kits. Each of Nike's federation shirts are constructed with Nike Dri-FIT technology to wick moisture and are made from 23% lighter fabric with a 20% stronger knit structure than previous versions. The new Nike Holland Away shirt features laser-cut ventilation to promote localised cooling.
In line with Nike’s commitment to superior athletic performance and lower environmental impact, the fabric of the new kit’s shorts is made with 100% recycled polyester, while the fabric of the shirts is made with at least 96% recycled polyester. Each kit is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.
The new Nike Holland Away Shirt is available to pre-order from today and will first be worn by the Dutch National side on Feb. 29. Who will be the best dressed when England and Holland go face-to-face at Wembley? Share your thoughts and let us know what you think online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
