Fans of retro attire, feast your eyes on the new adidas Germany Away Kit! Die Mannschaft have teamed up with adidas to create an uber-cool look for the Euro 2012 Championships. Adidas have come up trumps once more. It's very retro, very cool, and very green. Take a look at what will be one of the summer's best looking strips and share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
The new adidas Germany 2012 away shirt honours the Euro 1972 winning West German team, the German's first European Championship win after defeating the Soviet Union 3-0 in the final. Podolski, Ozil, Schweinsteiger and co. will be hoping to replicate such success as they travel to Poland/Ukraine as one of the tournament favourites.
In a nod to the past, the shirt itself has a very simple look about it and is made up of two tones of green for a subtle hooped effect, as well as featuring a white collar and white adidas branding over the shoulders and chest. The colour green hasn't been used on a German international shirt for 10 years and is a colour synonymous with German legends Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller.
On the inside collar are the dates 1972 and 2012, marking the forty year anniversary of Germany's first Euro win. The three stars above the crest are coloured to match the green shirt. The jersey will be available in both short and long sleeve, with the later setting a new level of retro coolness!
Retro shirts continue to set the standard in the replica world. Germany are now fully kitted out for the Euro's and we can't wait to see both the home and away shirt in action! How will Umbro and England's upcoming retro release compare? Share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
