SoccerBible can officially unveil the new Chelsea FC Third football shirt for the 2011/12 season, it's not quite what the fans are used to as it's another interesting design from adidas, but let's see how it looks on Didier Drogba, John Terry, Fernando Torres and Frank Lampard...
The sleek and stylish white shirt features bold colour blocking in navy and yellow on the upper chest, and as you can see here certainly stands-out on pitch. But what do the fans think? Share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
It seems the adidas designers started with a blank page when it came to designing the new Chelsea Away and Third football kits this season. With seemingly no reference to the past, the new designs are definitely more adventurous and are perhaps a reflection of Chelsea's new playing style!
At least the players won't have any problems spotting each other on-pitch and picking out a pass, but we do wonder whether the Chelsea faithful will object to the resemblance to Tottenham's colours!
As for performance, the playing shirt features adidas TechFit technology which will help improve speed, increase endurance capabilities and enhance awareness. This works by stabilising and focusing muscle energy to generate explosive acceleration and deliver maximum power output.
The replica shirt incorporates adidas Climacool technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin in the key heat zones.
It's not been confirmed when we can expect to see the players first donning this bright number, but for the fans the new Chelsea Third jersey 11/12 can be pre-ordered online now ahead of launch on 25th August and it should retail for around £50 GBP / $70 USD / €55 EURO.
Now that you've seen the new 11/12 Chelsea Third adidas Shirt we're sure there's going to be plenty of reaction - share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
