Juventus and Nike have unveiled the new Juventus Home football shirt for the 2011/2012 Serie A season. With traditional Bianconeri inspiration, the new 'Juve' home jersey has been brought into the 21st century, and to mark the occasion was launched at a special location: at the new stadium inside the Bianconeri’s dressing room.
Juventus will wear a shirt with a futuristic look which looks to signal the start of a new era. It features a reinterpreted version of the iconic black and white stripes for a 3D effect. There's some great detailing on the new Juventus home football kit 11/12. The shirt features ‘Juventus’ written in yellow type on the back of the shirt, whilst ‘Forza Juve’ is written on the back of the badge close to the player's and fan's hearts. The shorts are white, with a hint of black at the tip, along with white socks and a ‘J’ written on the calf.

Andrea Rossi, General Manager of Nike Italy, commented on the new strip: “We wanted to create an authentic Juventus Football Club collection for the first time: the shirts to be worn for the game will have a futuristic look with high performance materials of a unique style."

Regarding the high performance materials, Andrea was referring to the new shirts being made entirely with Nike’s innovate recycled polyester: each one is produced directly from the recycling of fourteen plastic water bottles. The strips also actively contribute to the regulation of athlete’s body temperature on the pitch thanks to the Nike Dri-FIT fabric. The shirts contain a new aerodynamic fit, now more slender, which offers 17% more elasticity than the previous shirt.

New Juventus signing Andrea Pirlo, who has over 70 International Caps to his name, was at the launch event and stated: “The Bianconeri’s colours are very important, this shirt is very important. I wished for a change after many years and now I want to give my contribution to take Juventus to those winning ways that this team deserves. Where can we get? Now we must think in working hard only.”

Available to order now, the launch of the new Nike Juventus Home football shirt 2011-12 coincides with the opening of the new Juventus stadium, replacing the Delle Alpi and bringing the fans closer to the pitch. For this reason, the kit launch was done from the ‘heart’ of the new stadium - the dressing rooms - a place that will soon be occupied by Antonio Conte and his team as they focus before competitive action.
