The Football League Show

The Championship teams get a break due to the international weekend, so the focus is very much on League One and Two. MK Dons have appointed Karl Robinson as full-time coach after Paul Ince left the club at the end of last season, and they face Hartlepool in one of the games of the day in League One. Elsewhere, Southampton host Rochdale at St Mary's, while further along the south coast, Peter Reid's Plymouth entertain Brighton. Presented by Manish Bhasin.

World Cup's Shocking Moments 2010

Richard Bacon is assisted by David Seaman as he takes a hilarious look back at the 50 greatest shocks from South Africa 2010 - from Rob Green's blunder against the USA to the French team going on strike; from Uruguay cheating Ghana out of a place in the semi-final to Frank Lampard's infamous 'goal that never was'. There are also the brilliant moments that may have slipped under the radar - Fabio Capello daring to bully Stuart Pearce, Emmanuel Eboue speaking Korean and the madness of Maradona.

Football Shirts > Aston Villa Home 10/11 Nike Football Shirt

Aston Villa and Nike have launched the new Aston Villa Home Shirt for the 10/11 Premier League season, which continues the club's traditional claret and sky blue colours, but with an interesting design feature.

Aston Villa have sported claret and sky blue shirts for over 100 years, so you'd be forgiven for thinking there wasn't much scope left for designing a new shirt. However, Nike have found a way of reinventing the Aston Villa football jersey, by incorporating a checkered design on the sides of the shirt. A controversial inclusion? We'll let the fans decide.

Another feature of the Aston Villa Home Football Shirt 10/11, is that it'll be the first to feature new sponsor FxPro on the front, an association Director Denis Sukhotin is proud of, commenting: “Aston Villa is one of the great names in English football and we are proud to be a part of the club's future as they work hard to build on their success.”

The Aston Villa new kit 10/11 has been engineered and constructed under Nike's 'Considered Design' programme - to create performance products that minimise environmental impact by reducing waste.

Combining traditional elements with new age technology, every Aston Villa soccer jersey is made entirely from recycled polyester, each crafted from up to eight plastic water bottles! The improved Nike Dri-Fit fabric, is 13% lighter than previous Villa shirts, and helps to quickly evaporate moisture by wicking through the fabric to the surface, helping to keep players dry.

Accompanying the launch of Aston Villa's 10/11 football shirt, Nike have created some great hero imagery inspired by their 'Write The Future' message, they've been promoting throughout the summer. The imagery displays the passion, energy, drama and emotions endured by an Aston Villa player over 90 minutes, highlighting how important one moment can be in a players performance to changing the game and Writing The Future.

The new Aston Villa Home Shirt 10/11 will be available to pre-order from 15th July, and is expected to go on general sale from 8th August. Fans can expect to part with the regular price of around £45 GBP / $65 USD to own the 10/11 Aston Villa football shirt, and we're interested to hear the reactions of Villa fans and whether they are in favour of the new design?
