Carlos Tevez unveiled the new Umbro Manchester City Home shirt 09/10 at Eastlands yesterday. Tevez was seen holding the new heritage inspired shirt, as he was presented to the media following his £25million transfer.
Tevez is pictured holding the new Manchester City home shirt, inspired by the club’s heritage and iconic sky blue colour. This new football kit benefits from Umbro’s football tailoring process as seen with the re-designed England kit.
The new home shirt combines design elements from the past with new technology, refined detailing and a tailored aesthetic. Umbro boast that each seam on the crew-neck shirt has been carefully considered and selected for a specific function - whilst the club crest has been extensively re-mastered in a similar veign to the national side, aimed at bringing a new level of detail to the club’s identity.

Garry Cook, CEO of Manchester City, said:
“We consulted our supporters throughout the design process for the new kit and have been delighted with the enthusiastic response they have given to a few sneak previews. City's history and heritage has been coupled with cutting-edge technology to create something that every Blues fan would be proud to wear."

The new Umbro Manchester City 2009-10 home kit is currently available for pre-order, and will go on sale from July 18th. The same day Manchester City will debut the strip against the Orlando Pirates in the first of
their pre-season games in South Africa, where City fans will be looking forward to seeing new signings Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez.
Fans who pre-order the new Umbro home shirt today
have the opportunity to request a pair of free tickets to 'Live from
City', a gig featuring some of Manchester's biggest music acts past,
present and future. It takes place on Friday 17th July direct from the
City of Manchester Stadium and includes a line up of Doves, Kid British and
Mike Pickering.
