Weighing in at just 230grams (US size 9), the brand new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots have been developed to cope with the rigours of the modern game, and to be the next generation in speed football boots. Design input and feedback for the Vapor VI has come from various players across the globe, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba, Theo Walcott and Alexandre Pato. This player interaction has enabled Nike to build a boot that will deliver performance to players who know that a split second makes all the difference!

The upper of the Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots has a slightly different surface texture to previous incarnations, but is once again made from a soft, supple Teijin synthetic material. The upper material is engineered to conform to your foot's shape for comfort, and has been enhanced with ball-coating on the lateral forefoot to improve ball touch and grip whilst dribbling at top speed. A popular feature of the Vapor series which has been retained is the lace-cover, made from a stretch-synthetic-leather material to increase the ball contact area and provide a smooth ball striking area.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots have a re-engineered glass fibre chassis, which features the new Vapor Traction II design. Incorporating 8 core-out studs for reduced weight, the new design provides multi-directional traction for improved grip and speed on the field, with central traction arms for acceleration and deceleration. Another unique feature are the spikes at the fore of the sole-plate, inspired by track spikes, the concentrated forefoot traction zone grips at the toe-off for an extra burst of speed.

The brand new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots are sure to cause a lot of debate, not least because they are priced at £180 GBP. But we're looking forward to seeing a host of Vapor players taking to the pitch, wearing this next generation in the Mercurial series. Puma have followed up the recent release of their Puma Royal v1.10 football boots, with these brand new K leather editions. The Black/White/Puma Royal v1.10 football boots are the second K Leather boots released in the range, to compliment the white leathers.

Speed football boots made with a kangaroo leather upper are quite a rare occurrence, but the Puma v1 range has a track record for releasing popular leather editions.

There is no denying that as far as natural materials are concerned, kangaroo leather is the number one material. This is because the fibres of the material are more densely packed, so as well as being soft and comfortable, the K leather is durable. And as the material is soft and comfortable, the boots upper offers a great touch and feel for the ball.

The toe area and lace-cover are held together by a thermo-plastic material which maintains the boots shape and structure. ClimaCool is a unique adidas advancement in boot technology, that players including David Beckham are taking advantage of. ClimaCool football boots are designed to conduct the slow moving air surrounding the boots, through the holes to cool the feet during exercise. The ClimaCool upper of the adidas F50i football boots is slightly thicker than the regular synthetic F50i upper, as it has both the ClimaCool material and comfortable material and mesh lining inside. However, the material is softer and performs much more like a leather upper.

The latest ClimaCool adidas F50i football boots continue to remove the lace cover, unlike other models in the F50i range. Instead, adidas have taken the ClimaCool technology from their running shoes to include an open lace design with an extremely comfortable and soft material tongue.

Those of you clued up enough will have already worked out this boot is one third of adidas' latest F50i Premium pack. This is the follow up ultra-limited pack that adidas have released for the F50i, with the first set finally being released as individual boots due to public demand! No surprises this time that adidas have kept the fans happy and released the boots seperately as well. So you can choose to buy all three, or the individual synthetic, ClimaCool or leather versions to match your taste and style!

The two standout features of the new adidas F50i football boots upper, is the print application on the instep of the boot and the new lace-cover. The print application is positioned to assist ball control by increasing friction, and the ClimaCool features a generious kicking area. The perforated upper allows for natural foot breathabililty, and we reckon adidas have done a good job with the visual design of the boot.

This new colourway is produced in a limited run, so if you're looking for something different to your team mates you should have plenty of options now. We reckon this version would be a great addition to your boot reportoire, although the ClimaCool option may not be suitable for frosty winter pitches.

With these boots being a limited release, we're definitely excited to see if any players choose to sport this boot, as it is definitely an excellent addition to the F50i family.
