These are the classy looking second colourways for the brand new adidas Predator X football boots. The tenth incarnation of one of the most successful football boots ever, exclusively unveiled with full details and images by the SoccerBible!

The adidas Predator football boots are designed to dominate the game, as they are worn by the likes of Steven Gerrard, Robin Van Persie, Michael Ballack, David Beckham, Xavi and Daniele De Rossi. So the challenge for the tenth generation of adidas Predator football boots was to surpass the performance features of the previous nine.

To achieve this, the new adidas Predator X football boots have innovative Powerspine technology, unbelievable swerve from the revolutionary Predator element and a host of advancements from adidas, all designed for better performance.

For the Predator X football boots, adidas have developed a revolutionary new upper material called Taurus. Combining full grain calf leather, for softness and excellent ball touch and feel, with high tearing and high abrasion qualities for a durable yet high-end performance upper.

The adidas Predator X football boots are the first Predator to remove the tongue, a bold move which has been done to enhance performance. This new fit reduces the material between the ball and foot to give better ball feel, and the new boot collar gives a more secure fit during movement.

The famous adidas Predator technology is another impressive feature of the Predator X football boots. The redesigned Predator element completely covers the striking zone with a rubber-silicon mix, and the textured surface and soft compound has been placed in an optimal position. Providing every shot and pass with the ultimate swerve, control and accuracy in any weather conditions, achieved through increased contact time with the ball and incredible friction.

Another unique innovation of the adidas Predator X football boots is the Thermoform window on the side of the boot. This contains heat-mouldable foam that follows the shape of the foot for a snug and comfortable fit, and it also houses the new design for the adi three stripes, which has been a real talking point for these new Predator football boots.

A Predator football boot has to be able to generate power behind every shot, and the adidas Predator X football boots are no different thanks to the revolutionary Powerspine. Replacing the Powerpulse element, the Powerspine minimises energy loss and maximises power, as it redirects and transfers shot power directly into the ball.

The adidas Predator X football boots will be available in hard ground, firm ground and soft ground sole-plates, and the new Predator X soft ground boots will feature hybrid studs to give you the benefits of adidas Traxion with a round stud tip. And the new dual compound heel counter will provide support and stability whilst reducing pressure on the Achilles tendon, because although it is smaller it is extremely strong.

Available to pre-order from 26th October, the new adidas Predator X football boots will cost around £135 GBP when they are launched on 14th November. When the SoccerBible grabbed a few words with Real Madrid legend Raul, we couldn't help but notice he was wearing a new pair of blacked-out football boots. And when you consider Raul is a leading adidas Predator wearer, we had to find out if we were seeing the brand new adidas Predator football boots!

Raul has become Real Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer, and has done so wearing adidas Predator football boots. Therefore, it makes sense that the striker would be one of the players selected by adidas to test out their brand new Predator football boots.

So, when our keen boot spotters grabbed the legend for a few questions, the first question had to be 'are you wearing the new adidas Predator football boots?' But Raul being a true professional would neither confirm nor deny our query, instead he told us he was testing a new pair of football boots and that they were very comfortable! Which when you consider was coming after a two hour training session, looks good for the new adidas Predator football boots.

The new adidas Predator X football boots will be the tenth incarnation of one of the most successful and innovative football boots ever created. And all football boots fans are eager to see what new technology adidas will incorporate into their new Predator football boots to generate more power, more swerve and more accuracy.

So what can we tell you about one of the most anticipated new football boots for 2009? Well, as you would expect the first colourway will be the traditional Predator Black/White/Red that has made the series so famous, with an alternative White/Brown/Yellow option for those wanting something different. We can also confirm there will be several special edition Predators, much like the ClimaCool and Fantasy versions that were released in the PowerSwerve editions. However, these editions won't be available at the official launch in mid Novermber 2009.

The adidas Predator X football boots are the tenth iconic release in the adidas Predator series, and finally the SoccerBible can share all there is to know about this popular boot!

The most highly anticipated boot release of the year is finally here - the tenth generation of the iconic adidas Predator football boots! To reach such a landmark is an unprecedented achievement by adidas, so it has been their mission to make one of the world's most popular football boots even better! The new adidas Predator X football boots have an improved fit, and a new energy return system that brings more power, swerve and control to every kick.

There has been much speculation about this new football boot, with plenty of suspect images floating about cyberspace. As one of adidas' key boots, they have already put extensive player testing and many hours into perfecting the next edition of the World's Best Selling Football Boot. Along with this speculation is the usual rumour mill about the official name of the new Predator, with everything being banded about from adidas Predator Trustrike to the current favourite Predator X. We spoke to adidas who confirmed the final release version will be dropping the Trustrike moniker, although many fans will no doubt continue to adopt the name to distinguish this new release.

These first editions of the adidas Predator X football boots have the classic black/red/white colourway, and deliver comfort and feel from a new upper material. Unlike Predators that have gone before, the Predator X is made from uniquely developed Taurus calf leather. This Taurus material "combines a natural look with high tearing and high abrasion qualities, which result in a high-end supreme touch performance leather". Nice!

Famous for their Predator technology, we were keen to see how adidas have engineered the new Predator element for the adidas Predator X football boots. Placed in the optimised position, the rubber-silicon mix material provides the ultimate in constant swerve, control and accuracy, and as the material is rubberised it will perform in any weather conditions. The soft compound also continues onto the boots instep to assist ball control and quick one-touch passing.

There are some significant changes to the new boot, as already seen when we spotted Raul wearing prototype versions during pre-season. The adidas Predator X football boots are the first Predator, since the original back in 1994, not to have a fold-over tongue. Instead adidas have removed the tongue, so the Predator X football boots features a wrap around collar.

This new design creates an ergonomic performance fit, to provide maximum control during movement both with and without the ball. And by removing the tongue material is reduced between the foot and the ball, for a better touch and ball feel.

To add more power to every shot the Predator X boots have developed a new internal chassis construction, to hold the revolutionary Powerspine. The Powerspine technology replaces the Powerpulse chamber, and minimises energy loss while shooting so more power is channelled behind every shot.

Overall, the new Predator X are a truly unique addition to the Predator range. The design brief for the adidas Predator back in 1994 was to create a boot that could deliver more power, more swerve and more accuracy, and fifteen years later adidas are still delivering performance through innovative technology.
