Football Boots > Pantofola D'Oro Antares Football Boots - Black/Yellow

As part of Pantofola d'Oro's Fall/Winter 2012 collection, the Italian brand have unveiled the new Antares line. Building on the same tradition and history of the Lazzarini, the Antares Canguro is another example of Pantofola's commitment to hand-crafted design.

Launching this October, the line will feature a collection of unique and classic colourways. Pantofola d'Oro have continued to extend their catalogue of boots since re-emerging as a modern day performer. The Black/Yellow Antares is hard to knock, using a timeless colour combo that's as old as the brand itself!

The classic cars of the boot world, the Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini is the pinacle of old-school design and would be more at home on a coffee table than a football pitch! They're the only football brand born in Italy that remain 100% Italian, the boots are all handcrafted in Ascoli and although this goes against the grain for modern boot construction, that's exactly what we like about Pantofola d'Oro.

Pantofola d'Oro football boots are modern-day performers that celebrate the past by encapsulating the spirit and passion of the Azzuri. For those not familiar with how Lazzarini football boots first came to the attention of the masses, it was thanks to the legendary Juventus player John Charles. Being one of the first customers of Lazzarini's, the Juventus man described the boots as 'golden slippers', or in Italian, 'Pantofola d'Oro'.

Since that day in the Italian brands history, some of the games greatest players have formed associations with the golden slippers. Fabio Capello, Johan Cruyff, Roberto Mancini, Marco Van Basten and Paolo Di Canio have all worn Pantofola d'Oro boots during their careers and have helped make the brand highly respected.

Tradition and history aside, Pantofola d'Oro create real quality, soft and comfortable leather football boots designed to perform to the rigour of the modern game. With a classic timeless design, the Lazzarini football boots are a lightweight and flexible boot made from the softest calf leather available.

Incredibly, Pantofola d'Oro football boots are hand-made exactly the same way they were back in 1886, with the same ergonomic form. Designed to perfectly fit the shape of the foot for fantastic ball control and feel, the Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini football boots are another great classic boot with a pedigree to match.

Pantofola d'Oro football boots continue to be highly sought after and the new Black/Yellow Pantofola d'Oro Antares boots will be available from October 1st and will retail worldwide for around £120 GBP / €140 EURO / $180 USD.

Let us know what you think of the new Black/Yellow Pantofola d'Oro Antares football boots. Share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

Antares is a red giant in the scorpio constellation.  As such, I would expect red, not yellow.
