Football Boots > Nike Lunar TR1+ Sport Pack - Black/Silver/Blue Glow

Nike are about to revolutionise the way we train by launching Nike+ which tracks your movements like never before, and sends them in real time to your smart phone. The Nike Lunar TR1+ trainers are the first to be fitted with the advanced technology, so let's take a look at them...

With Nike+ sensors that measure how hard, how fast and how often you train and a Nike+ app that turns training into a game, the Nike Lunar TR1+ training shoes offer you maximum motivation and the ultimate training experience.

The technology utilizes a new Nike+ Pressure Sensor built into each shoe that collects information about the user’s movement and then wirelessly transmits data to their phone. It is then translated into different metrics delivering previously unknown information about either their workout or their game.

Capturing reps, NikeFuel and calories, the sensors in these Nike Lunar TR1+ training shoes transmit your performance to your iPhone in real time. With drill packs, challenges and workouts guided by the world's greatest athletes, the pro's become your personal trainers, your friends become your competition and your next level is just another rep away.

Ultra-lightweight and offering a custom fit through the laces, Flywire technology wraps the midfoot and arch to give the Nike Lunar TR1+ training shoes a dynamic, comfortable fit and lightweight, ultra breathable mesh provides ventilation and comfort.

For a comfortable feel and easy on and off, a notched innersleeve wraps round the foot while strategically placed no-sew overlays and eyestays provide seam-free comfort, helping to keep the foot centred over the footbed for better support and stability. A comfortable and supportive external heel counter secures the rearfoot.

A lightweight Lunarlon midsole cushioning gives these Nike Lunar TR1+ training shoes bouncy response and support, while an outrigger provides additional support and stability for lateral movement. A Nike Zoom unit in the heel delivers low-profile, responsive cushioning.

Forefoot flex grooves inspired by Nike Free enhance flexibility for a smoother efficient stride, and a durable rubber Waffle Fill offers outstanding grip on multiple surfaces. The crash pattern on the heel improves traction during multi-direction movements.

Launched on June 29, the Nike+ trainers are available to order now, with the sport pack costing around £180 GBP / $235 USD / €210 EURO.

It was only a matter of time before Nike launched their own technology to rival adidas miCoach, and we'd love to see if they have plans to introduce Nike+ to football boots? Let us know what you think, and share your opinions with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

this takes the nike + to new levels. with a chip in each shoe/boot(yes, its coming in soccer boots around new year) and even more info about your performance.

but a positive thing that they are putting this technology in more then just their running shoes, as they have for the last 6-8 years.

How times have changed. This is quite unbelievable! We used to put heavy boots on to train in. I still think a lot of the traditional methods are better than those used today.

Hello.

I just think this is all a little uneccessary though. I think you missed my point, I am very sorry for not making it clearer.

It saddens me deeply that the current generation are relying on technology like this to aid their game and help training so much.

It's all about feeling your muscles work, pushing yourself to the limit. Your body is an extrordinary thing. You should not have to rely on a floppy disk to tell you when to start/stop or judge how well you have performed - are we going to have robots for managers soon!?

It's all very expensive. OK, like I have said before, the Elite players of this world may find it slightly beneficial but I sincerely fear that we are losing touch with what the game is really about, the roots if you like.

It's blood sweat and tears, not buttons screens and gears.

And thank you for showing an interest in my career, I'm happy to share pretty much anything with you if you show interest or feel it may help you achieve your goals and dreams.

I played for Stockport County, Bury, Notts County and Bath City during my time in England. Inverness Caladonian Thistle and Raith Rovers in Scotland and Llanelli in Wales.

wow, GREAT to have you hear on soccerbible @I Know The Game!  Its seem you have an interesting perspective on the way 'the game' is played and your opinion on the way technology is intertwined in football is interesting! Good luck with your project on designing a boot- as i am also thinking of designing a boot myself in the future- furthermore, i am 15 years old and play for a club in north west london- the only thing that I wanted to ask you and the soccerbible community about  was where the problem lies within english football which hasn't enabled us to become a more dominant nation in Europe and the world- i believe that we need to look more at the dutch youth setup as an example of one of the main reasons why our country aren't doing as well as we probably should be. I have lived in holland for 9 years and have spent several years playing with the KNVB (dutch football federation) as well as being trialled for ADO Den Haag (you might know them as the first team you find on fifa when you look at the Eredvise (dutch league)). APOLOGIES FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DIDNT WANT TO HEAR MY LIFE STORY- But i thought some of thou might be interested...- basically- i think the main issue lies with the professionalism of the british setup- if you have ever been to holland to play football, you will probably have noticed the considerable amount of teams which have top notch facilities which are available to anyone who would like to join only for very low fees or completely for free. Moreover, holland has a population of about 17 million and have a relatively small economy compared to the UK so it is unlikely that money is an issue here, instead i think it is about how efficiently this money is used and how dedicated people are when enforcing changes ( how hard people are prepared to work to make faster changes). I think the dutch have a stronger passion in youth football then we do and therefore make faster and more efficient change- TIME = MONEY)  Anyway, here are a few examples of some low level, low division clubs which i have either played at or for at a young age for free or only paying low fees:

bin617-01.website-voetbal.nl/.../Voetbaldagen576-07_0.JPG

The reason for me being able to play at these places and for these people is not because i am extremely lucky/talented or even because you might think these are professional training facilities- these are all publicly accessible, I promise you that i know these people and that i have played football for or at these clubs.

In the last picture you will see KNVB coaches coaching young children- this happens on a very regular basis- expert coaching is given to anyone who is noticed anywhere, that is why i was lucky to be able thrive and be coached by great coach using great facilities, just because i had a little potential when i was younger, and no i am not being modest!! Honestly this is all reality; go and see it for yourselves! And even if you didn't quite make it- you would still easily be able to join a club with good training and great facilities and who knows, you might have been given another opportunity the following year, this is all common and i think we definitely need to give more young people these sorts of opportunities at a younger age! We are missing out here in England!
