Football Boots > PUMA evoSPEED 1 Football Boots - Black/White/Orange

PUMA have released this alternative Black/White/Orange version of the new evoSPEED 1 football boots, their next generation lightweight speed boot. The range is expected to be worn by some of the games most prolific strikers including Sergio Aguero, Mario Gomez and Radamel Falcao, and with the boots designed and engineered to the criteria of light, flex and fit, expectations are high.

It's a fresh assault on the speed market after previously developing their Cellerator and v1 series. The evoSPEED 1 continues PUMA’s successful speed theme and is part of a newly launched evoSPEED cross sport product offering. All these products incorporate technologies inspired by innovations used for Usain Bolt!

The evoSPEED 1 cleats are the next generation in PUMA’s speed silo and are designed to help players achieve top speed and enhance manoeuvrability. The anatomically engineered lightweight one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to minimize weight and to maximize its flexibility and reactivity.

Lead wearer Sergio Aguero was heavily involved in boot development and product testing, and the Argentinian striker commented, “The new boot really impressed me. As a striker I always need to get up to speed very quickly and the boot seems to be perfectly suitable for this. I like how flexible the sole is, it helps me to change directions quicker and really distinguishes it from other football boots”.

The PUMA evoSPEED 1 football boots feature an external heel counter which secures an excellent heel fit, and the new PUMA evoAptoLast is a further development of the AptoLast fit , a successful carry-over from the v1 range. Internally, the boot offers support and fit from the EverFitCAGE, a webbed print application which acts to cradle the foot around the lacing system.

Even the lacing system has been designed for performance, with the lace material tightly knit and closely bonded for a lower profile across the loop holes for a cleaner ball strike, but then the material is looser and more flexible towards the ends where they are tied.

The upper of the PUMA evoSPEED football boots is engineered from a soft and ultrathin microfiber material. The one-piece material benefits from additional padding around the heel and collar for comfort, and of course has the EverFitCAGE internally. But in terms of ball touch and feel, the material is soft, flexible and enhanced with a pimpled texture across the fore area for increased friction for ball control and dribbling.

The whole evoSPEED collection takes performance technology and innovations and incorporates them in footwear and apparel developed for various sports categories. All evoSPEED footwear features lightweight materials, increased flexibility and an optimized fit that enables a greater freedom of movement without compromising support, to enhance speed.

For the first time in PUMA’s history, the classic Formstripe has been changed and a new lightening version, a signature graphic that emphasizes speed and harkens back to Usain Bolt, will be featured on the complete evoSPEED footwear collection.

Also in other categories, the evoSPEED styles will be worn by PUMA’s key athletes throughout this summer and beyond. Included categories are running (e.g. Usain Bolt), motorsport (e.g. Fernando Alonso), golf (e.g. Rickie Fowler), cricket (e.g. Yuvraj Singh) and indoor sports (e.g. Luc Abalo).

A more subtle alternative to the White/Limoges/Red, the Black/White/Orange PUMA evoSPEED 1 boots are available to pre-order from today and ready to dispatch from June 18th, at a global retail price of around £140.00 GBP, $170.00 USD, €165.00 EURO.

There are many boots in the speed category such as - F50 adizero, Mercurial Vapor, Morelia Neo, GT II, Trinity 3E - so how will PUMA's new boot compete, can the evoSPEED raise PUMA's speed game to the next level? Get involved and share your opinions online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

these will never be better than the v1.11. I never wore them, but a few people on my club team said they are amazing, and don't want to switch.
