Football Boots > Lotto Zhero Gravity II 100 Football Boots - Risk Red/White

One of the games most unique football boots returns, revamped ahead of the 2012/13 season the new Zhero Gravity II football boots continue to sport Lotto's innovative laceless concept. With a fresh look, these are possibly the most eye-catching speed boots available on the market...

The Lotto Zhero Gravity II 100 football boots are out there on their own in terms of pioneering, and are a boot that always generates debate amongst the boot community. Now 10 years on from the original concept, Lotto's laceless boots are as popular as ever and this new design with Risk Red/White colourway has a certain Italian cool about it.

These next generation Lotto Zhero Gravity 100 football boots are a more eccentric design than the previous incarnation and are simply unmissable on any football pitch! They certainly grab attention, and if it's innovation you're looking for then Lotto scores top marks by designing a boot with no laces. At a time when vibrant colours, innovative tech and speed boots go hand-in-hand, Lotto have delivered on all fronts.

The concept of a laceless soccer shoe is one that Lotto are continuing to single-handedly pioneer. It's an idea that began life in a laboratory in 2002, and was inspired by the desire to create a boot that gives "extraordinary contact with the ball". Since then, Lotto's Zhero Gravity range has gone on to establish itself as a top speed boot in the marketplace, with the Gravity 100 editions enriched with a couple more innovations; ReactiveArch and PuntoFlex.

The microfibre upper of the Lotto Zhero Gravity II100 football boots is made from a thin material which moulds to the foot, offering an exceptional feel for the ball. By removing the laces, Lotto have created the cleanest contact and striking surface between the foot and ball, designed to almost be like a second pair of socks.

The flush fit of the Zhero Gravity II 100 is achieved by two rubberised panels stitched into the fore and heel of the boot upper. These stretch out allowing your feet into the boot, before retracting back to provide a sock-like fit. Key here is finding the right size and fit, because unlike a leather upper the boot won't expand over time or retract if you initially wear them in the bath, however, the Lotto Zhero Gravity does offer one of the most unique fits in the boot industry.

The unique fit of the Lotto Zhero Gravity II 100 upper, raises the importance of the heel counter and outsole when shooting, passing and during movement. Lotto have accounted for this performance need by creating a heel counter to fully cradle the heel which continues to the arch of the foot were it combines with Lotto's ReactiveArch outsole.

The ReactiveArch is one of the first concave shaped outsoles to feature on a boot, and is a Lotto innovation engineered to deliver cushioning, stability and reactivity. This dynamic sole is designed to flex, move in unison and provide an elastic (energy) return to the natural deformation movement of the transverse arch in the forefoot.

The ridges positioned on the top part of the insole provide arch massage which aids circulation and absorption of lactic acid. A ReactiveArch and insole work in synergy to maximise cushioning and stability on impact when grounded, this gives extra thrust for release. PuntoFlex technology provides the ability to flex the foot correctly which gives excellent elastic return, ensuring quick acceleration and agility at all times. Also, Gone is the Twist'nGo stud under the fore toe, and there's no return to blades as Lotto adopt a traditional conical stud sole-plate.

Love them or hate them, the Lotto Zhero Gravity II 100 football boots are one of the most unique and innovative boots on the market. This launch colourway for the Gravity II is available to order now for around £160.00 GBP / $200.00 USD / €190.00 EURO.

These are nice, but there aren't any high-street shops in England that sell up-to-date Lotto boots are there, so how can you easily find the correct fit?

i think it's worth a once in a lifetime try, especially now that the controversial Twist-'N-Go is out of the question (which should make the boot a little lighter, more befitting for a speed boot category)... i think these will be my next boots cuz it seems the football-boot world is moving into synthetics or non K-leather materials when talking about uppers nowadays... laceless technology is worth a once-in-a-lifetime try IMHO... who knows, perhaps they might turn out to fit awesome for me... :)

If people give them a chance they will realize how great these shoes are. They really work. In the review for the zhero gravity boots the soccerbible crew gave it amazing reviews but then said that they wouldnt wear these cleats for a match and didn't say why. They also gave it a bad review for shoe sizing....... Really!! Who buys a shoe that isn't the right size? No one does.
