Football Boots > PUMA evoSPEED 1 K Football Boots - White/Limoges/Red

PUMA mark their next generation of lightweight speed boots with the anticipated launch of the all-new PUMA evoSPEED 1. After six years of the successful v1 series, the German sports giants have re-packaged their speed silo, delivering an advanced performance shoe that will go toe-to-toe with some of the biggest boot names in the game. Check out what the k-leather editions have to offer!

The PUMA evoSPEED 1 football boots are designed to cover the three main criteria of light, flex and fit. One of the lightest leather football boots on the market at just 193g, the evoSPEED continues PUMA’s successful speed theme. The evoSPEED 1 k-leather boots are part of PUMA’s newly launched evoSPEED cross category product offering, that exists across all PUMA sport categories.

The PUMA evoSPEED 1 is designed to help players achieve top speed and enhance the manoeuvrability. This summer, the evoSPEED 1 FG will be worn on pitch by PUMA footballers including the German striker Mario Gomez during EURO 2012, Radamel Falcao and Sergio Aguero in World Cup qualification matches in June.

Sergio Aguero commented, “The new boot really impressed me. As a striker I always need to get up to speed very quickly and the boot seems to be perfectly suitable for this. I like how flexible the sole is, it helps me to change directions quicker and really distinguishes it from other football boots”.

Also in other categories, the evoSPEED styles will be worn by PUMA’s key athletes throughout this summer and beyond. The evoSPEED styles will be worn by PUMA’s key athletes in running (e.g. Usain Bolt), football (e.g. Sergio Aguero), motorsport (e.g. Fernando Alonso), golf (e.g. Rickie Fowler), cricket (e.g. Yuvraj Singh) and indoor sports (e.g. Luc Abalo) this summer and beyond.

In contrast to the retired v1 series, the new evoSPEED 1 utilises a newly configured moulded stud configuration that replaces the pointed stud design used on the v1.11. PUMA no longer find room for the carbon-fibre plate in the forefoot, while their UNI technology has also been left on the cutting room floor in a more stripped-back design.

The anatomically engineered lightweight one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to minimize weight and to maximize its flexibility and reactivity. The PUMA evoSPEED 1 features an external heel counter which secures an excellent heel fit and the new PUMA evoAptoLast which provides an industry leading fit.

For the first time in PUMA’s history, the classic Formstripe has been changed and a new lightening version, a signature graphic that emphasizes speed and harkens back to Usain Bolt, will be featured on the complete PUMA evoSPEED footwear collection.

Even the lacing system has been designed for performance, with the lace material tightly knit and closely bonded for a lower profile across the loop holes for a cleaner ball strike, but then the material is looser and more flexible towards the ends where they are tied.

The whole PUMA evoSPEED collection takes performance technology and innovations and incorporates them in footwear and apparel developed for various sports categories. All PUMA evoSPEED footwear features lightweight materials, increased flexibility and an optimized fit that enables a greater freedom of movement without compromising support, to enhance speed.

Available to pre-order from today, the PUMA evoSPEED 1 k-leather boots will be ready to dispatch from June 1st and will hit the market at around £150.00 GBP, $200.00 USD, €180.00 EURO. Let us know what you think of the new PUMA evoSPEED 1 soccer shoes and be sure to give your vote below!

SOOOOO NICE!!!!!!!! Puma have officially won my respect. They keep releasing quality boos, and now, they haven't disappointed in this new release. They actually got me think of getting these instead of adi11pro's or vapors, or even tiempo's or ctrs. very big competitors in the speed market now, and could be a big threat to nike, since they have a leather version, and nike don't!!!

These are nice just like the synthetics, but there is obviously no pimple skin control aspect, although whether or not that will help people using the synthetics I don't know. I'm glad they've gotten rid of the blue line above the puma stripe for these, but the bad stitching pattern just replaces it, so I think it'll take a nice colourway to get me to truly like these, for example not mixing red and blue which barely ever work on boots.

I really like these but I wonder about the durability of the sole plate on the leather upper...I wonder why Puma did not go with stitching the upper to the sole plate...I would not think that is too much weight.

Impressed. One of the best boots I had were the v3.06 leathers from years ago and these look like they're quality too. Not getting into a slagging contest, but any ideas what they actually weigh?

I was thinking of purchasing a pair of boots that are in the Puma Speed category, but I'm really not sure on these EvoSpeeds. Another colourway may swing me to considering them but I haven't worn a pair of the V.1's so I'm not sure if to get these or the V.1's?

It's a big mistake leaving out the UNI construction...that's why I love PUMA boots....kinda skeptical about these now.
