Football Boots > PUMA evoSPEED 1 Football Boots - White/Limoges/Red

After plenty of hype and speculation, PUMA have unveiled their new evoSPEED 1 football boots in this White/Limoges/Red launch colourway. Expected to be worn by the likes of Sergio Aguero, Mario Gomez and Radamel Falcao, the new speed performance football boots has been designed and engineered to the criteria of light, flex and fit.

It's a fresh assault on the speed market, after PUMA previously developed their Cellerator and v1 series. The evoSPEED 1 football boots continue PUMA’s successful speed theme, and is part of a newly launched evoSPEED cross category product offering, that exists across all PUMA sport categories. All these products incorporate technologies inspired by performance innovations also being used for Usain Bolt, the World’s Fastest Man.

The evoSPEED 1 soccer cleats are the next generation in PUMA’s Speed silo and are designed to help players achieve top speed and enhance their manoeuvrability. The anatomically engineered lightweight one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to minimize weight and to maximize its flexibility and reactivity.

Lead wearer Sergio Aguero was heavily involved in boot development and product testing, and the Argentinian striker commented, “The new boot really impressed me. As a striker I always need to get up to speed very quickly and the boot seems to be perfectly suitable for this. I like how flexible the sole is, it helps me to change directions quicker and really distinguishes it from other football boots”.

The PUMA evoSPEED 1 football boots feature an external heel counter which secures an excellent heel fit, and the new PUMA evoAptoLast is a further development of the AptoLast fit , a successful carry-over from the v1 range. Internally, the boot offers support and fit from the EverFitCAGE, a webbed print application which acts to cradle the foot around the lacing system.

Even the lacing system has been designed for performance, with the lace material tightly knit and closely bonded for a lower profile across the loop holes for a cleaner ball strike, but then the material is looser and more flexible towards the ends where they are tied.

The upper of the PUMA evoSPEED football boots is engineered from a soft and ultrathin microfiber material. The one-piece material benefits from additional padding around the heel and collar for comfort, and of course has the EverFitCAGE internally. But in terms of ball touch and feel, the material is soft, flexible and enhanced with a pimpled texture across the fore area for increased friction for ball control and dribbling.

The whole evoSPEED collection takes performance technology and innovations and incorporates them in footwear and apparel developed for various sports categories. All evoSPEED footwear features lightweight materials, increased flexibility and an optimized fit that enables a greater freedom of movement without compromising support, to enhance speed. For the first time in PUMA’s history, the classic Formstripe has been changed and a new lightening version, a signature graphic that emphasizes speed and harkens back to Usain Bolt, will be featured on the complete evoSPEED footwear collection.

Also in other categories, the evoSPEED styles will be worn by PUMA’s key athletes throughout this summer and beyond. Included categories are running (e.g. Usain Bolt), motorsport (e.g. Fernando Alonso), golf (e.g. Rickie Fowler), cricket (e.g. Yuvraj Singh) and indoor sports (e.g. Luc Abalo).

This summer, the White/Limoges/Red evoSPEED 1 football boots will be worn on pitch by PUMA footballers including the German striker Mario Gomez during EURO 2012, Radamel Falcao and Sergio Aguero in World Cup qualification matches in June. Available to pre-order from today, the evoSPEED football boots are will be ready to dispatch from June 1st and will hit the market at around £140.00 GBP, $170.00 USD, €165.00 EURO.

A very good looking boot but far too many direct copies from the F50.  The soleplate and studs are way too similar!!  Even the evoSpeed concept across the categories is the same.  I understand that brands will inspire each other if it's doing well but this is too much.

wow! Puma have my respect now. Great boots, and will rival the vapors and f50's very well in the speed market. I might actually get these, but in the leather versions. still, amazing love puma now!!!

for all you guys information, puma has been doing a hard plastic soleplate on their speed boots years before adizeros even came around. They used to have the little carbon fiber triangle in the bottom of them but now the bottom is all solid

howieg2 Painted over an adizero and put a puma logo on it? This "boot" actually looks like it has good fit. Looks nothing like the adizero except for the material.  Anyways if they come out with another color I may get these. Conical studs on a speed boots? AWESOME!

Adidas wasn't the first brand to put conical studs on a boot... why is everyone saying they are adizero rip off's?

the fact they actually come in k-leather and the whole boot is great, whereas the adizero has the tinniest bit of gelo-leather on the toes.

Great looking boot.

Quite nice, but they shouldn't have used that line over the puma stripe on the side. Makes them look like cheap umbro boots. Decent looking boots though. The pimples are an interesting innovation. I like the fingerprints on the studs, quite a clever idea.

I like where they're going with this evospeed thing, especially across other sports but these synth ones look a bit cheap. Much much much prefer the leathers. How come all the brands have decided carbon fibre is no good anymore?

I get a free pair of Puma boots every season, this will be the pair I am asking for, will match the strip perfectly. Released just in time for the start of pre-season!. A very attractive boot. Excellent work from Puma, if they signed up some decent players they may begin to rival the likes of Nike, adidas and Pony.

I like these, don't love these. Not as futuristic in design. Really waiting for a crazy new color scheme. These two are just too boring. It seemed all the V-series boots kept getting more and more edgy in design, but these are more subtle, but I think maybe that's why they work for me. And so what if the soleplate looks copied from the F50, the F50 soleplate works well! Theres only so many ways these companies can change the soleplates.
