Football Boots > Nike 5 Bomba Finale Football Trainers - Black/Black/Total Orange

Acknowledging the players out there who are skilled and specialise at the small-sided game, we thought we'd check out the latest Nike5 Bomba Finale football trainers. They're Nike's top-end shoe for synthetic surfaces, so take a look and let us know if they are to the skilled players' liking...

At the SoccerBible we like to acknowledge all football products for all variations of the game, and there are some brands and products that definitely have a cool-factor. So we're appealing to all the skilled, technical footballers who like to show-off on the 5-a-side courts around the globe. Let us know what you think of the new Nike 5 Bomba Finale football trainers, leave your opinions with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

From the brand themselves, Nike inform us that: "The lightweight design of the Nike5 Bomba Finale Artificial-Grass Men's Football Shoe delivers serious ball control for low shots and quick passes. It's designed for enduring comfort and performance during cage and indoor small-sided games on hard surfaces and artificial turf."

With just one glance you can see the Bomba Finale's are not your standard football shoe, as they've been specialized for the surfaces and game format they'll be utilised. There are a few stand-out features, such as the
the shot shield which means every drilled shot stays low and deadly, also the incredible looking rubber outsole for clinical pace and underfoot control.

Other call-out features of the Nike5 Bomba Finale's include; Kanga-Lite water-resistant synthetic leather for excellent fit and ball touch, instep design to enhance touch and help maintain control, multidirectional traction pattern for enhanced traction and grip, and a recycled Nike Grind rubber on medial heel and toe for durability.

When designing the Bomba Finale, Nike were aware of how important ball control is. The only space in the small-sided game is the space you create, and to distance yourself and the ball from other players you need total control. The CTR360-inspired instep enhances touch for fast distribution and powerful passes, whilst for exceptional first touch on the ball, this shoe features dampening pods on the outside of the forefoot.

The Bomba Finale shoe features a shape-correcting shot shield that helps promote low-trajectory striking for more accurate passes and shots. And an off-centre lacing system offers a larger striking zone for extra ball control and accuracy.

One of the most uniquely configured outsoles you're ever likely to see, delivers a traction pattern with multidirectional rubber studs of varying lengths providing excellent traction for underfoot ball work during quick games. Low-profile secondary studs under the perimeter of the toe-area and outside heel enhance traction, and artificial-grass traction technology in the forefoot was designed to increase acceleration and plant-foot stability.

With the amount of quick movement and directional changes, comfort and fit is a very important factor. The Bomba Finale has a moulded sockliner for lightweight, low-profile cushioning, plus forefoot-pressure and heel-plant dispersion pads to help even stud pressure for lasting comfort. For even more cushioning and support, these men's football shoes have hollow studs and heel cushioning.

The majority of the Bomba Finale upper is engineered from Kanga-Lite water-resistant synthetic leather, a material engineered by Nike and utilised for their CTR360 range of football boots.  The synthetic materials offers the best of both natural and synthetic uppers, by offering the soft ball feel and touch of kangaroo leather whilst maintaining performance in all conditions for excellent fit and durability

The world of 5-a-side and the small-sided game is one that's only going to continue to grow, it's no surprise to see Nike at the head of innovation for this particular sports category, and it looks like they've applied the right theories to their Nike5 Bomba Finale football trainers. Available to pre-order now, the Bomba Finale's are expecting a late-July release date and a pair will cost around £77 GBP / $130 USD / €100 EURO.

No, these are best on artificial grass and turf surfaces.  Definitely not gym floor but it does work well on hard natural surfaces (not asphalt or concrete).

I have a pink/black colorway from last season and they work great on ag and turf surfaces.  The shot shield technology does not work as advertised for me, but I can attest great ball control in short-sided games where touch is everything.

Make sure you take good care of ventilating and drying this shoe in between each use or it will start stinking right away because of all the synthetic materials.

My next indoor shoes have been a toss up between these and the Adidas adi5's.  There is about a 50 dollar price difference, but these look like a better made shoe and similar to my Nike5's.  .  .

I have the Bomba Pro's and compared to Mystic, T90 and Mercurial ranges of Nike Turf (rubber outsole) shoes, these have held up the best.  No separating of the midsole from the upper, no detaching outsole from the mid.

Very solid shoe, hands down.  But yes they will stink. Haha!  I'll have these shoes for a while.

Tried so hard to analyze the design concept.

Was Nike trying to make these shoes look like a bee-hive?

Underneath, the cleats look damn clustered (with the same same bee-hive thingy).

Color? The orange looks too orange because it's occupying too much area underneath and by the sides (against the black which is the base color).

Good one, but adi5 better!

Though in some ways they look alike, and put in a more true perspective this is  good but adi5 way way better!

Update 12/18/11

I just returned these due to poor stitching.  They started separating around the instep where the leather is stitched to the rubber passing pad/beehive thing.  The store where I bought them said that someone else returned them for the same reason.  I am going with the all leather Bomba that is a step below these in price and are all leather and no rubber beehive/passing pad.  Really disappointed. . .
