Football Boots > Hummel Old School Star Football Boots - White/Royal/Red

Amongst the ultra-fast high-powered football boots currently occupying the market, are a few brands forging a bit of a niche with leather boots focused on quality and style. One such brand is Hummel, so let us introduce the latest offering from the Denmark-based company the white/royal/red Old School Star football boots...

As the name 'Old School' suggests, there is a retro feel about these new Hummel football boots, and they can be sure to count on the support of some of the older boot fans. That said, they're designed to compete in the modern game with materials and construction to do so.

Instantly recognisable across the globe, the stand-out blue and red trademark chevrons are iconic of a brand steeped in history within football. The Hummel Old School Star series celebrates everything we fondly remember about Hummel - but with modern materials, craftsmanship and production.

The Old School Star soccer cleats are constructed from a thin, lightweight high grade Kangaroo Leather to offer a genuine glove-like fit once on. The great stretch properties and high tear resistance of the supple leather give this comfortable feel and outstanding ball control and touch.

A classic traditional styled lightweight moulded stud outsole certainly compliments the retro look. Again the chevron logos feature here, running the length of the sole and following the natural arch of a foot.

It's not all 'old school' design though, as there's some technology to talk about for the Old School Star football shoe. Hummel have incorporated a "Durable Flexsol technology" to the mid sole area and added an anatomically moulded cushioning sockliner for more comfort. Whilst an A TR injected internal heel counter and a soft leather lining only add to this feeling of comfort and stability.

The look is completed with the professional-standard fold over tongue, covering the centred laces cleanly and stylishly. Interestingly, Hummel have opted to use their text logo over their iconic bumblebee logo which is omitted completely from this boot, but of course the distinctive double chevrons adorn the instep and outstep.

It's a sign of how football boots have developed that we now look upon the release of a traditional leather football boot as quite a novelty. But if you're considering your style on pitch, and want a consistent performer then you don't need to look too much further than the Hummel Old School Star football boots.

Expected to hit selected retailers from 1st July, the white/royal/red Hummel Old School Star football boots should cost around £80 GBP / $110 USD / €95 EURO.

Now you've had a look at the brand new Hummel Old School Star football boots, are you a fan? Share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

think these look great, and they won't age or get replaced. Be interested in the quality of leather, but then they are just 80 quid

In the danish league (ofc) there are quite a few. Dennis Rommedahl (the danish speedster who can't make a cross) uses Hummel.

I find it funny can make judgements just by the looks - show how much Nike and Adidas have done.

As a kid I started out in Hummel - and you know what you get. No *** boots that - for me - are able to battle Adidas Copa Mundial - a pair of boots that never impressed me.
