Football Boots > Under Armour Blur Pro Football Boots - Black/Bolt

Under Armour are attacking the speed market once again, and this time they've come armed with the Under Armour Blur Pro football boots. It's a tough one to crack, but when you prepare yourself to take on the speed market you need a boot that's lightweight, features innovative technology and has an eye-catching design! Check out the SoccerBible's full and exclusive photography, along with all the tech info...

The Blur Pro is Under Armour's second venture into the speed market, after previously releasing the UA Create. And they've returned with a lightweight boot, designed to out-run and out-manoeuvre your opponents thanks to an innovative outsole, plus a few more tech advancements thrown in along the way!

Just by taking one look at the brand new Under Armour Blur Pro football boots, you begin to realise that UA are stepping up their game in the soccer market. They've already acquired Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, and we've been fortunate to have a sneak peek at some of their upcoming boots and can say that Under Armour have really elevated their efforts.

The Blur Pro uses an entirely seamless micro-fibre upper, with the exception of where the tongue attaches, for an upper designed to form to the shape of the foot, whilst the smooth finish is aimed at providing better ball control.

The stand-out design feature of the Under Armour Blur Pro Soccer Shoes is the perforation on the upper. Which despite being aesthetically unique, does have a performance benefit by aiding breath-ability and moisture control.

One of the huge design plus-points for the Blur Pro cleats, is the lightweight and innovative outsole. The Pebax outsole is where this boot steps up it's game and becomes a performance boot. A visibly wider fore-foot enhances underfoot stability and provides support for quick directional changes.

To further increase stability, comfort and add shock absorption, the Under Armour Blur Pro soccer cleats incorporate UA's Micro G cushioning and 4D foam. This anti-bacterial footbed forms to the foot and provides optimal comfort.

What Under Armour have set out to achieve with the Blur Pro, is a performance speed boot that doesn't just follow conventional methods. Yes this is certainly a lightweight boot weighing in around 200 grams, but is also acknowledges that speed isn't just about straight ahead, it's also about cutting, crossing, changing direction and speed of feet.

The new Black/Bolt Under Armour Blur Pro football boots are expected to retail worldwide for around £100 GBP/ $180 USD / €120 EURO, and are set for an official release late June/early July.

Now you've had a good look at the all new Under Armour Blur Pro, let us know what you think! Have your say and join the conversations with the SoccerBible community online, on Twitter and on Facebook.

I think it looks like an almost perfect boot. Lightweight, while still providing enough protection. But it is also quite wide, suiting people like me perfectly. As great as Adizero's and AdiPure's are, they give me terrible foot cramps from being too narrow in the midfoot. These look great. Probably the first boot release I'm actually looking forward to.

Bobby Zamora was sponsored by UA so it will be interesting to see if he gets it on in these new models.  Also there is a silver / neon yellow  / black version of these that Cam Newton wore at the NFL combine workouts not too long ago.  But they likely will never be able to compete in the soccer market  bc of their immaturity when it comes to the play needs and marketing of athletes outside the USA IMO.

At 8.7 oz or thereabouts, not exactly in the category of speed boots these days.

With the outsole curling up on the crucial part of outside, I wonder if there's going to be some touch issues.  I use that part a lot for quick flick passes and putting 'slice' on my shots.

Would be interesting to read about a boot test on this.

haha adzerf50 you're right.  but these don't look bad.  they're a lot better than the first three models UA came out with, which were straight up american football cleats

1. This is a speed boot but yet it weighs 8.6 oz

2. Mostly it just looks cheap and like it would be uncomfortable in places.

3. The tech is the only good part but that tech is the same on the Superfly's except minimized on these.

Their last speed boot weighed 11 oz and all of their boots look like American football ones. They need to do better to compete.

Oh and are you sure these are 200 grams? I'm seeing these on World soccer shop and Under Armours website and It says their 8.6 oz which is too heavy for 200 grams
