Football Boots > Puma v1.10 SL Football Boots - White/Pompeian Red/Black

Here at SoccerBible, the speed-race is really heating up with the release of the new adizero Prime football boots. Now Puma have responded with a new colour update of their lightest ever boot...

The Puma v1.10 SL boots can no longer claim the title of the lightest production boots on the market thanks to the adizero Prime's, but still remain one of the most technologically impressive boots around. Check out our exclusive images of the new White/Pompeian Red/Black Puma v1.10 SL football boots...

The Puma v1.10 SL football boots are an incredible boot which combine technology and innovative materials to create one of the lightest boots on the market - weighing in at just 150grams (5g heavier than the adizero Prime's). To follow up on the last Parachute Purple/Tender Shoots/Ebony colour-way, Puma are releasing these great looking White/Red/Black Puma v1.10 SL football boots that will surely appeal to the Puma faithful of the boot world!

It feels strange not being able to claim the Puma v1.10 SL boots as the lightest football boots in the world. With the release of the adizero Prime boots, Puma will have to return to the drawing board and think of new ways to shave at least 5g from these super-light boots!

This could be a blessing in disguise for Puma as they will have a chance to redesign a boot that hasn't exactly received overwhelming popularity. The boot has been described as looking more like a running shoe than a football boot. An issue that Puma could address for the follow up to the Puma v1.10 SL.

The Puma v1.10 SL upper is made from a superlight microfibre synthetic material, which is soft for comfort and ball feel, and provides slightly more padding than the adiZero. Like the rest of the v1.10 range, the SL features a central lacing system with a soft and lightweight tongue, constructed to provide breathability. Puma's v1.10 SL football boots have been engineered to revolutionise movement and increase player speed. Inspired by the highly limited concept boot - the Puma v1.815 Ferrari - this new model now comes to the masses as the speed boot category gets ever lighter.

The out-sole and external heel counter of the Puma v1.10 SL football boots has been engineered from a revolutionary Thermoplastic. The Pebax material offers outstanding mechanical, physical and chemical properties, by bridging the gap between thermoplastics and rubbers. In short, this means the v1.10 SL's out-sole offers stability, durability and support at a fraction of the weight. And is further complimented by a Carbon Fibre insert in the out-sole, enhancing player movement through reactivity, flexibility and mid-foot stability.

The new White/Pompeian Red/Black Puma v1.10 SL football boots are expected to cost around £185 GBP/ $275 USD, and are available to order from selected retailers now.

Now you've seen the newest addition to the Puma v1.10 SL collection, we'd love to hear your opinions...

Is it only I who look at these Puma boots and think: " Man.. these look wierd.." ?

Look at the 2. picture from the top.. Look at the shape of the boot.. The front part of the boot is just as thick as the rest..  I guess it's only me, but I would never buy Puma boots.

I really hope (if they redesign these shoes) that they'll try to make them fit people with normal sized feet and not running them at sizes 9-10 and they run small or whatever, i mean that's kind of stupid

@D Keeper: You do a fantastic job job of dumbing down this site. Was that comment even necessary? Simon was just expressing his opinion, which I completely agree with. The color is great, but the shape makes them quite unattractive. As for you, let's grow up and stop acting like you just learned how to use bad words.

Hey man, I was just pointing out that the words you used were unnecessary. I'm all for expressing opinions, but let's try doing it in a little less aggressive way.

if puma removed at least 3 studs on the heel, like an old pred stud configuration, that'd surely reduce more weight... not sure how much though?
