Football Boots > Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra Football Boots - Spicy Orange/Black

Unveiling the latest colourway for Lotto's stunning Zhero Gravity Ultra speed boots, one of the most innovative football boots on the market. Check out our full and exclusive pictures of the new Spicy Orange/Black Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots...

The concept of a laceless football boot is one that Lotto are continuing to single-handedly pioneer. It's an idea that began life in a laboratory in 2002, and since then Lotto's Zhero Gravity range has gone on to establish itself as one of the top speed boots on the market, with these Spicy Orange/Black versions the latest colourway.

The inspiration behind the Lotto Zhero Gravity, is to create a football boot that allows for "extraordinary contact with the ball, guaranteed by the upper made solely in microfibre". And the Gravity Ultra editions have been enriched with a couple more innovations; Twist 'nGo and ReactiveArch.

The microfibre upper of the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots is made from a thin material which moulds to the foot, and offers an exceptional feel for the ball. By removing the laces, Lotto have created the cleanest contact and striking surface between boot and ball. It also won't have escaped your attention that while previous releases have been quite subtle, Lotto are really announcing these editions of the Gravity Ultra with an eye-catching Spicy Orange colourway that shimmers in the light!

The flush fit of the Gravity Ultra is achieved by two rubberised panels stitched into the fore and heel of the boot upper. These stretch to allow your feet to fit into the boot, before retracting onto your feet to provide a real glove-like fit. And when we tried the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots out for a play test we found the high-riding ankle and tongue sections do indeed grip the top of the foot and ankle area, but leave enough flexibility that you don't feel constrained by a boot trying too hard to "hold on" to your foot.

The precise fit of the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra soccer shoes does mean though, that you may need to try on half-sizes around your boot size to get the correct fit, which is essential if you are to reap the performance benefits of these football boots.

The unique fit of the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra upper, raises the importance of the heel counter and outsole when shooting, passing and during movement. Lotto have accounted for this performance need by creating a heel counter that fully cradles the heel and continues to the arch of the foot were it meets Lotto's ReactiveArch outsole.

The ReactiveArch is one of the first concave shaped outsoles to feature on a boot, and is a Lotto innovation that delivers cushioning, stability and reactivity. This dynamic sole is designed to flex, move in unison and provide an elastic (energy) return to the natural deformation movement of the transverse arch in the forefoot.

The Lotto bods have put a lot of thought into creating these latest Zhero Gravity incarnations, and another addition to the Ultra football boots is the Twist'nGo technology. The solitary pivoting silver stud is located under the toe area, and the theory is that performance is improved and the risk of injury reduced, by helping the players to overcome foot and ground friction, plus additional motion forces for accelerating and braking.

We haven't seen a huge player uptake for the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots, but then it's a difficult battle for Lotto to rival the player endorsements of Nike, adidas and Puma. The most notable wearer of the Zhero Gravity is Lyon's Jean II Makoun, who scored a fantastic goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League last season. Although for the Spicy Orange versions, we'd love to see Liverpool's Glen Johnson in a pair!

For these top-end performance speed boots you can expect to pay around £150 GBP, which is a very competitive price. Unfortunately though, this colourway is not expected to be available until late November/early December, and we'll be keeping a keen eye on the pitch to spot any players in the bright colourway!

The Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots are without a doubt one of the most unique and innovative football boots on the market. It seems currently they have something of a cult following with many boot fans unaware of their existence, but the Spicy Orange/Black colourway is sure to announce the Gravity Ultra's presence! We'd love to hear the thoughts and opinions of the SoccerBible fans on these eye-catching football boots...

these may not look good for many people but i thinkits not just about the looks the tecnology that lotto is using is different from the other brands. many pros dont use this because they have sponsorrships already with nike, adidas, etc.if your not buying them ok who cares but stop saying stupid things if you have never used the boot.

I think that if they spent a little more money on the advertisement they could do good. At my local soccer shop they let try them on and they are not bad at all Really comfy but you might have to break in the sole plate of them for about two training sessions. The thing that suprised me most was that they fit really true to size.
