Football Boots > Umbro 5v5 Venom 3G Football Trainers - Black/Yellow

With 3G pitches becoming a more popular playing surface, we thought we'd take a look at the latest product to hit the football trainers market. Catering for all the needs of a 3G or astroturf player, the new Umbro 5v5 Venom football trainers feature a host of specialist technologies.

Anyone who has played competitively on either a 3G or astroturf pitch will know that regular trainers or moulded football boots just won't suffice. Which is why Umbro have created the specialist 5v5 Venom football trainers, designed to deliver the complete performance needs.

Player grip and traction are a crucial performance requirement, impacting on reaction times and the ability to turn and move quickly. The outsole of the Umbro 5v5 Venom football trainers feature more and longer studs to enhance grip, combined with a compression moulded EVA midsole to keep the foot low to the ground increasing stability.

To prolong the durability of these 3G football trainers, Umbro have fixed a TPU toe bumper to protect from abrasion. This is further enhanced through a high abrasion resistant layered print around the toe area, which also maintains a slim profile.

An annoying by-product of playing on a 3G pitch, are the rubber chippings that seem to take refuge in your trainers and become ingrained in your socks. But this problem has been combated by Umbro, as the Umbro 5v5 Venom's feature a soft neoprene gaiter added to the collar, which provides a snug yet comfortable fit and keeps the rubber chippings out of the shoe.

An asymmetrical lacing system enhances ball feel, enlarges the kicking area and provides a comfortable fit. The fit of the Venom 5v5 3G trainers is further improved by the lateral support frame around the midfoot, and an internal heel counter gives optimum support.

The Umbro Venom football trainers are heavily embossed in the medial midfoot area to aid ball control and passing accuracy, crucial in a high-paced game played on an artificial surface. Performance is further complimented by the soft high quality leather vamp, which delivers excellent ball touch and feel.

The Umbro 5v5 Venom's are one of the first genuinely specialist 3G football trainers, catering to a host of player requirements, we expect these could be the first in a new trend of football trainers. Available to order now, the Umbro 5v5 Venom football trainers should cost around £55 GBP / $80 USD, good value for a trainer that has been designed to be comfortable, perform and be durable.

i disagree that moulded studs wont suffice. i play frequently on a 3g, and theyre designed to be like firm ground.

pro teams in countries like russia play their competitive games on 3g, and they use normal moulded studs
