Football Boots > Reebok Instante II Pro Football Boots - Silver/Blue

Introducing the new Reebok Instante II Pro Football Boots - Reebok's groundbreaking advanced football boot, all set for the World Cup. This silver/blue combination completes the trilogy of new releases, packing a whole science projectinto these "hot" new boots...

The Instante II Pro features Reebok's revolutionary heat activated U-FORM performance technology for a unique customised fit - intended to both reduce any breaking in period and give the perfect fit.  Reebok say that this new U-FORM upper gives you a second skin and a personal fit with maximum support due to the customisation of the upper. This makes Reebok the first sport brand to launch a specific heat activated customised football boot. But how does it work?

The U-Form Technology requires you to heat up your boots at 93 degrees and in just over 3 mins the UF logo on the heel changes from standard Black to Red - indicating the Instante II Pro is now ready to fit.

All you need now do is simply lace on the boots and relax for around 8 mins - and you have got a boot customised to the shape of your own feet! Reebok claim this process can be repeated successfully over 50 times, meaning you'll get continued customised comfort.

The Instante II Pro incorporates a lightweight synthetic upper, designed to make this boot both light and durable. The flame-coloured boot also features raised rubber vamps for added ball swerve, this time swirling and sweeping all over the upper.

On the inside of the new Instante is another Reebok technology - Smoothfit lining which combined with a non-slip lightweight sockliner is designed to make the boot move in harmony with the foot and ensure maximum comfort through even the toughest of matches.

Reebok keep faith with a familiar sole plate, as seen on the original Instante. Available in both soft and firm/hard ground stud versions, Reebok have also included both their Power Unit and Power Frame in this boot, providing a solid support for the foot and allowing a one way flex improving shot power.

Reebok endorsee Theirry Henry will no doubt be heating up South Africa in these new Reebok Instante II Pro Football Boots, which are available to pre-order from today, 1st June, ahead of their retail release a month later on 1st July.

Expect these to set you back around £110 GBP / $175 USD when they hit the shelves.

what will happen if you are playing in over 93 degree weather?

June 2, 2010 12:31 AM

wma29 said:

I would assume that's 93 degrees Celsius. Much too hot for anyone to play in.

The technology is surely related to the heat moldable foams used in ice hockey skates to customise the fit.

man,  ALL THE SUPERFLY HATER'S!!!!! everybody tlks on how the superfly has to much "gimmicks" and "technology" but look at these *** boots, and ppl actually like them!!! Superflys help with ur turn and are light, real tech!!! with these, you have to burn your feet for 8 minutes and then play in hot weather, but everybody likes the technology idea!!!

@cronaldo9kaka8- I would suggest that instead of spending so much money on Superflys, you spend it on anger management classes. You've got some real issues man. And I'm sure that they don't "burn" your feet. I highly doubt Reebok purposefully put out a product that would cause a lawsuit.

I've never been a big fan of Reebok, but I actually like these. The green and red ones look better though.

ET3 said:

obviously people can't grab the concept that at 93 degrees the boot will be mold able, and you can then insert your feet and have a custom fit if you so choose to do that.  You don't have too if you don't want too but it sure is interesting

June 2, 2010 8:52 AM

Manchenko said:

Guys, when they mean 93 degrees, its in fahrenheit. So use some logic and not think its 93 degrees celsius. sheesh. 93 deg celcius is near boiling point. WHO THE HELL WANT TO BURN THEIR BOOTS?

SO...93 deg farenheit is near body temperature. put the boot on and wait for a few mins for the boot to get accustomed to your feet. Its that easy.

wma29 said:

@Manchenko - I doubt it's 93 degrees Fahrenheit. They said the boots are moldable up to 50 times. If your body temperature or the ambient air temperature is enough to mold the boots, you'll reach 50 times in no time. I play ice hockey and all decent skates are heat moldable. You put them in the oven at 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and bake them for 3-5 minutes, you let them cool a little so you can handle them and you put them on and wait 10 minutes or so. Trust me, they are far hotter than 93 degrees Fahrenheit when you put them on. If you look at the article, they also mention heating the boots for 3 minutes and letting them mold to your feet for 8 minutes after putting them on. Reebok is one of the biggest ice hockey skate brands so I'm sure the technology is related.

Manchenko said:

but they said u must put ur feet in. so i think its in farenheit man....this article is not clear enough hahahhaa

June 4, 2010 2:49 PM

wma29 said:

I completely agree the article isn't clear. I know it sounds like a bad idea to be putting your feet into anything heated up beyond 50 degrees Celsius but the same procedure is used with ice hockey skates. You heat them up using an oven set at 180 degree Fahrenheit (82 degree Celsius), let them cool just a bit and put your feet in them. They are quite hot (my feet always get sweaty) and you must wear socks. With skates, there's a lot more material so they probably retain heat longer while the boots probably cool much faster so that might be one of the reasons these boots might need a higher temperature (93 versus 82). We'll just have to wait until they come out to be sure. From my experience with skates, this could be a really good tech as long as you aren't sacrificing touch/feel.

If you're wearing this in South Africa and the U-form  starts forming at 93 degrees Fahrenheit, and  if you where playing in that heat and altitude wouldn't your feet get hot enough to start the u form up
