Football Boots > VIP Edition Puma PowerCat Football Boots - ACE Feet in Motion!

Ever wanted a pair of performance football boots custom made to fit your feet perfectly? Puma have teamed up with ACE 'Feet in Motion' and Pro Direct Soccer to make this possible, through a unique service previously only available to the very top professional players
.

The SoccerBible received a special invitation from Puma, ACE and Pro Direct Soccer to visit the clinic and manufacturing facility in Cardiff to be given the VIP treatment for the day.

The process, exclusive to the new Puma PowerCat boots, involves a truly VIP experience where your boots are hand made from basic components to the exact specification of YOUR feet. Size, width and orthotic intervention is no longer a problem, as all can be accommodated. Because of the unique manufacturing/clinical facility at ACE, any orthotic intervention necessary is assessed as part of the process and any correction needed is built into the construction of the boots. The bespoke boots are made to perfectly match and compliment your feet and movement on the pitch.

ACE 'Feet in Motion' are a podiatric biomechanical clinic with a full manufacturing facility, and have looked after the feet and sports footwear needs of such sports stars as Andrew Flintoff, Peter Crouch, Ryan Jones and Michael Carrick. They are expert at providing all podiatric requirements and the delivery of this unique process.

Popular football boot myths such as breaking your boots in, wearing them in the bath to fit or even getting them a size smaller than your feet only enhance the problem - boots that

don't fit correctly like this can lead to various problems including; an inappropriate running gait, lack of balance, ankle sprains, shin splints, foot, ankle, knee or hip pain. If you are worried by, or suffer from any of these problems, or if you are just having problems finding boots that fit correctly, Puma and ACE will hand make your own bio-mechanically correct boot, enabling you to deliver a 100% confident performance everytime you step onto the pitch!

STEP 1: The process begins with extensive biomechanical analysis, both physical and computerised, using the very latest ’state of the art’ computerised pressure plate scanners allowing a team of highly experienced podiatrists to analyse the bio-mechanics of your feet in motion and identify any irregularities. This Gait analysis facility has a 20 metre running track, allowing us to examine your natural sporting gait, using the built in computerised pressure plates and the Quintic video gait analysis system.

STEP 2: The scans are transferred to our CAD CAM manufacturing equipment, where the process of designing and creating your bespoke insoles and boot lasts can begin.

The insoles of the boots are shaped and manufactured to correct any biomechanical imperfection highlighted in the detailed analysis. The design is carried out on a computer after which the data is fed into the computerised milling machine which mills out your insole before it is hand finished and incorporated into the construction of the boots.

Certain players benefit from extra support in the boots, which again can be built into them through use of a carbon fibre plate to support your movement.

STEP 3: The exact shape of your foot is replicated from detailed measurements and casts to form your boot last - the essential component from which your boots will be built around. This unique last, is then stored for any future boots you may require.

STEP 4: The next step is to take the Puma PowerCat football boots upper and handcraft it around your unique last and insole. This task is undertaken by skilled craftsmen who pull and pin the upper around your foot's last, by hand, to give a true and unrivalled glove-like fit.

Once the upper has been pinned into position the upper material forms to the shape of your last, creating an upper unique to your foot.

With the boot upper complete, the PUMA outsole is then attached to complete a brand new performance football boot bespoke to YOUR personal requirements. The service on offer is not just limited to elite players, but allows all players access to the facilities and performance features previously enjoyed by the top endorsed players.

This unique collaboration is all about delivering a pair of football boots that are not only have the perfect fit, but also ensure that your feet are biomechanically correct. This will help eradicate certain associated injuries, ensuring that your performance on the pitch is maximised. A pair of football boots unique to YOU, customised to eradicate any previous problems you may have encountered with football boots.

But much more than that, the VIP service is one you are actively involved with, making you the sports star who travels to the clinic to be analysed and examined. You meet the actual people who will build your hand made football boots. This is a real process you can watch as it happens and is a unique opportunity to have a brand listen to the customer, to create your perfect football boots!

Man, it's amazing what companies are willing to do these days to compete in the business.  It's nice, but 1,500 GBP is hard to justify with my A.D.D. for boots.

nike pro boots are expensive. and puma is rubbish. this is a marketing ploy, a poor effort too. theres a free way to get boots that fit you: try on a bunch until one fits you.

jgerhard - Correct, it is a marketing ploy. Like everything the big brands do (Elite, all that power/speed/heritage rubbish). Nice to see someone using their brain on here for a change.
