The Football League Show

The Championship teams get a break due to the international weekend, so the focus is very much on League One and Two. MK Dons have appointed Karl Robinson as full-time coach after Paul Ince left the club at the end of last season, and they face Hartlepool in one of the games of the day in League One. Elsewhere, Southampton host Rochdale at St Mary's, while further along the south coast, Peter Reid's Plymouth entertain Brighton. Presented by Manish Bhasin.

World Cup's Shocking Moments 2010

Richard Bacon is assisted by David Seaman as he takes a hilarious look back at the 50 greatest shocks from South Africa 2010 - from Rob Green's blunder against the USA to the French team going on strike; from Uruguay cheating Ghana out of a place in the semi-final to Frank Lampard's infamous 'goal that never was'. There are also the brilliant moments that may have slipped under the radar - Fabio Capello daring to bully Stuart Pearce, Emmanuel Eboue speaking Korean and the madness of Maradona.

Football Boots > Power Football Boots - Mizuno Wave Shinken II silver/red - 16/12/09

Here's the latest flash new colourway for the Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots, an innovative boot designed to deliver power and accuracy with Mizuno's own unique technology.

Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots are constructed from a nice blend of natural and synthetic materials, incorporate unique performance technology and are constructed to a very high standard. The majority of the upper is extremely soft kangaroo leather which is comfortable, whilst offering a great touch and feel for the ball.

The upper is constructed with an asymmetric lacing system which continues into the toe-area, improving fit and the ball striking area. Being able to adjust the lacing so far down means a glove-like fit, as there is no room for the material to arch up creating a gap between the top of the toes and the material.

An enlarged and clean striking area is complimented by Mizuno's unique BioPanel, shown in detail below. The aggressive contact between the ball and the BioPanel increases friction, and therefore improves ball strike, power and accuracy.

As you can see from our images, the Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots are very well constructed. Every BioPanel is held in position by double stitching which continues around the boot, and this high level of craftsmanship and durability continues on the outsole, which is stitched and glued to the boot.

The outsole has a solid heel counter to provide external lateral support to lock the heel, but also help the planting foot to stabilise when kicking the ball. And Mizuno have developed a unique sole-plate to give the structural reinforcement and traction needed during acceleration and movement.

These silver/red Mizuno Wave Shinken II football boots are a very clean and sharp looking boot. And are available from 13th January although they can be be pre-ordered now for around £110 GBP.

I dont see what so wrong with mizuno cr9 is better then messi, I think they make some very quality boots. As for these particular ones I think they look a lot like the T90 Laser III. And these came out before they did. Hmmm

The shape of the sole looks like a half moon or a small boat. Way to "curved" if you get what i mean when you look from the side

these shoes are great by the way, really comfortable and stylish. the leather is amazing. i would recommend them over the preds or laser anyday. and all mizuno boots have been great and well made. a hi class company if you ask me that can compete with the big brands like adidas, nike and puma.

but the panelling reminds me of the addidas mania, not the t90 3s.
